The National Museum of the Marine Corps is a hidden wedding gem in Triangle, VA. Not only does it honor our Marines, you can hold a beautiful wedding there surrounded by the values and history!

We reached out and were connected with Kendall, who I literally cannot say enough amazing things about. She is the venue coordinator that you don't even realize until after how lucky you were to be able to work with her. She told us about the package where we could have the ceremony in the Semper Fidelis chapel, which is at the top of a hill overlooking the museum. We could then have the reception in the museum. To be able to have both was exactly what we wanted. Our guests were able to walk down some beautiful pathways from one location to the other.

The chapel is everything I could have dreamed of. It has three glass walls so it almost seems like you're outside in the woods. Our guests told us that it was one of the most beautiful venues they've been to. The reception site is simply awesome. I didn't want to get married/have a reception in a cookie-cutter location, I wanted something unique. I've been married two weeks and still have guests coming up to me telling me how awesome the venue was. There are planes overhead, guests will have access to the galleries, and it's just a jaw-dropping site. We worked with Kathleen for the catering/reception, and she's fantastic as well. We had a plated dinner, bar service, and it was seamless. Food was good, and the bar pours were generous.

Honestly though, one of the most valuable things is the customer service you get with Kendall & Kathleen. Both are extremely responsive and quickly answered numerous emails I sent. Kendall personally helped me while I was waiting to make my entrance, and was so sweet and calming and held my train. Vendors don't have to do these things, but she goes that extra step because she is great. You will not regret going with the National Museum of the Marine Corps and the Semper Fidelis chapel.

We wanted a venue where we could have the ceremony and reception in one location, and the chapel at the museum was perfect. It is absolutely gorgeous! Both the museum and chapel are already visually stunning, so it made the decorating part of planning so easy. The staff at the museum are very professional and very responsive. They were able to accommodate every request that was made, including last minute changes. The guests were so excited about the venue and we had an amazing event!

The venue is beyond gorgeous! The Museum coordinator and caterer were absolutely terrific. We did not opt for the extra hour and that was a mistake. The reception flew by.
Not very many hotel options nearby but Uber is an option. Food was delicious

Our wedding ceremony and reception turned out perfect thanks to Pam, Kendall and Katie. They are truly professionals.
Pam walked us through issues with the celebrant and efficiently handled the venue contract.
Kendall was truly amazing. Along with supporting the contract, she played as the celebrant during rehearsal and was the point-person during the actual ceremony.
Katie was our point of contact for catering. She walked us through the food tasting and table configuration. During the wedding day, the decorations gifts and registry were assembled perfectly.

Overall, a big thanks to the National Museum of the Marine Corps for letting us host our special day in such a beautiful location.

Thank you,

T&Y

If you're looking for a unique venue, and beautiful site, this is definitely the place. I can't even tell you how many compliments we received on our venue alone. The chapel where we had the ceremony was absolutely gorgeous, and a great backdrop for pictures. I worked with Kelly and she was awesome! Very responsive, and always willing to help and answer all my questions on the catering end of it. Pam was great on answering all my questions in regards to the museum itself. We ended up choosing a buffet for our meal, and it was delicious! All of our guests raved about how great the food was. All in all I would definitely recommend the museum for your wedding venue!

The National Museum of the Marine Corps was the absolute best venue for my wedding. The staff here are INCREDIBLE!! From setting up full tables for our food tasting to providing us with a cocktail tasting to choose our signature drinks, everyone gave off the vibe that they were here for us. We worked closely with Kelly who was amazing. Before the guests arrived, the museum put my bridal party and I up in the tun tavern and had a personal bartender for us. It was so much fun to spend time with my bridesmaids and new husband alone before the reception. The food and drinks were amazing and my guests cannot stop talking about everything. We served a pecan apple tart for dessert (delicious!) and the museum boxed up our cake into individual boxes for the guests to take home. They made every detail come together flawlessly and gave my over 200 guests each a personal experience.

The museum and the museum chapel have so many locations for gorgeous pictures. The lighting (as well as the high ceiling) inside the museum at night are unbelievable. Although the dance floor was a huge hit, my non-dancing guests LOVED the opportunity to tour the museum throughout my reception.

My only advice would be absolutely go for the extra reception hour--your guests will not be ready to leave this incredible venue!!! It was absolutely worth it!

Spectacular! Our wedding was at the beautiful chapel on the hill overlooking the museum. The reception was held in the museum. Outstanding across the board. The guests just raved about the venue, the food and the museum exhibits(which are open for your event).
The staff at the NMMC were exceptional. So helpful and patient. The had wonderful suggestions. They walked us through the whole process so there were no surprises. On the evening of the event, the management staff was there overseeing the whole thing. The catering staff was incredible- so attentive.
And the food was outstanding (a pleasant surprise).
Can't say enough good thing about it and such a special place!
