When I searched for invitiations I knew that I wanted to have paper-free, recyclable invitations. I had my heart set on plantable wedding invites until I saw the cost--so I searched again and found this California-based companies. Their paper is made from Lotka leaves, a plant found in Nepal that according to the website "after pruning, re-grow again and again."

The invitations arrived. They have a lotka leaf motif and all of the invite is secured with a small bamboo stick. We did have to pay extra postage for this, because they could not be scanned, but from all of the comments from young and old, was worth it--everyone loved the unusual invitations. I can't wait for people to see the thank you cards. I decided to go with an assortment of colors, rather than stick with the color scheme of the wedding. The neat thing about the thank you cards (and the invites too), is that the insides are removable. The idea is to re-use the outsides-whether to frame or to "pass it on" (which is the tradition in Nepalese culture, again, according to the website).

We printed our own invitations on our printer at home, and then took them to be cut at Kinkos for a few dollars. Because of the paper's texture, the lettering was not always even. People thought that we had hand lettered them ourselves!

All correspondence is handled by the owners; we liked that personal touch. We received our invitations quickly. The only little snag was we had to order more invitations (parents had some last minute additions to the guest list), and we ended up having to do a rush order. Unbeknownst to us, the owners were on vacation. When they got back from vacation (luckily jut a few days later), they shipped out our order promptly. Our invitations ended up only going out a few days late. All in all, a good experience!

Awesome. This company really cares about what they do. Very attentive and even called after my order was placed online to make sure everything was right. The compliments we have received about how beautiful our invites were was overwhelming. This coming from people who have been to the most lavish of weddings. The price is really reasonable, a little over $200 for 125 invites. Of course you have to actually print them yourself, but we are artsy and had no problems. :)

Chuck is the greatest! We worked mainly over email and a quick international phone call or two (we were out of the country), and he accommodated our custom order with ease. The papers are just beautiful--we received so many compliments on our invitations! They certainly make an impression. We loved that the papers are tree-free and made of sustainable fiber. Though we ran in to a few snafus along the way, Chuck handled it all so professionally and graciously. We can't thank him enough for all his work with us!
