Located in the heart of downtown Annapolis, Ogle Hall, built in 1739, is the perfect centerpiece to your wedding day. The Ballroom is an elegant spot for dining, dancing, and more. Step outside into the Courtyard and you'll find a picturesque spot for your outdoor ceremony. Take a look downstairs at the Taproom, with all it's modern amenities, it's an ideal backdrop for a cocktail party. Our famous Balcony, facing St. John's College, is a favorite for photography and the bouquet toss.

Ogle Hall is available for a variety of events, including wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, bridal luncheon or tea, day after brunch, bridal shower or even you wedding ceremony.

The Alumni House served as the perfect backdrop for our April wedding. Wendy did an exceptional job in taking our vision for the day and turning it into a reality. The USNA Alumni House was the perfect location for our September wedding reception. Just a quick walk from the ceremony at USNA Chapel and we were ready to party. The house interior is beyond lovely- no need for decorations- and the outdoor patio and lawn was perfect for outdoor dinner and mingling.
What makes the Alumni House truly special is Wendy, their events coordinator. Since I was out of state, she met with me in person anytime I was in Annapolis and promptly responded to my many emails. Wendy handles everything- from the equipment rental to the linens to the coordination with the catering company. I also appreciated that Wendy was willing to work with us on any extra 'wants' or 'like to haves' for the reception- No was never her first response. She tried her best to work with us on everything and if it wasn't possible, she always explained why- which I really appreciated. She was also at the House for the entire reception to ensure everything- from the reception schedule to optimum photo ops- ran flawlessly. She was the wedding coordinator I didn't even know I had! t cannot thank her and her team enough for their help on our special day.
Many of our guests had never visited Annapolis before and the Alumni House blew them away. It truly represents the best that Annapolis and the Naval Academy have to offer. I would recommend the Alumni House for any special occasion- from reception to military retirement.

Wendy Owen is the special events coordinator for the U.S. Naval Academy Alumni Association … and she is a maestro! Our son’s wedding was a destination wedding at the U.S. Naval Academy chapel. Wendy professionally coordinated two events for us on the evening before the wedding – the rehearsal dinner for the 40-member bridal party and guests and, immediately following, a Welcoming Cocktail Supper for 130 guests. Our events were held at Historic Ogle Hall, home of the USNA Alumni Association.

The bride and groom requested an informal, relaxing rehearsal dinner – the venue is quintessentially Annapolis and food was decidedly gourmet. It was the small touches that stood out. Wendy helped create a picnic-like setting in the courtyard under a beautifully illuminated tent and the wedding party literally and figuratively … ate it up! Carefully placed and unobtrusive fans kept guests cool and refreshed on this August evening. The service staff was phenomenal and our every need was cared for – even before we knew one existed. She expertly coordinates the staff and anticipates hiccups and prevents their occurrence. Like a conductor she keeps the flow of things in synch and on time.

The cocktails and food were awesome and, the presentation was just as Wendy promised -- warm, welcoming and elegant. Our signature cocktail – a raspberry mojito – was beautifully served and delicious. Guests raved over the event and at evening’s end no on e wanted to leave!

The presentation Wendy devised with the vendor not only put the cocktails and food center stage, but it enhanced the circulation of guests and the ability of the hosts to greet everyone and chat. Wendy maximized the refined style offered by this beautifully restored 1730’s colonial house. We are so grateful to Wendy for creating this incredibly memorable evening.

I hosted my son's rehearsal dinner at Ogle Hall this past July. It was everything that I had hoped for and more. The venue itself is so beautiful. Wendy was wonderful to work with and was able to help me achieve my vision. The caterer was amazing with the food absolutely delicious! The cocktail hour and open bar were outside in the lovely courtyard. The entire evening was beyond my dreams and the memory of a lifetime.

My siblings and I had my parents 50th Anniversary Party at Ogle Hall and everything was wonderful! Wendy was so professional and easy to work with. She kept the event running smoothly and on time in such a nice and unassuming way. The bar staff were so pleasant and the house is just beautiful. It is true that you don't need to worry too much about decorations because it is already so beautifully decorated. It was such a memorable event for my parents that they were able to share with their longtime friends and our family which includes 13 grandchildren. There were 75 adults at the party and 13 children whose ages range from 4 to 17. There was plenty of room for all ages to have fun!

We had guests dancing in the ballroom, lounging and eating on the patio, and playing corn hole and croquet on the lawn. The venue requires little decoration as the house and grounds are so beautiful. It was also child and handicap friendly with plenty of space outside for the kids and an elevator for older family members. We can't wait to come back in 20 or 30 years for an anniversary party at the Ogle House! :-)

The Ogle House and Wendy were fantastic in helping me plan my wedding. I loved the venue because it was so unique, cozy, and didn't feel like a stuffy hotel ball room. Wendy was an absolute joy to work with and was invaluable when it came to planning my wedding from afar (the Navy had already taken us to Charleston, SC prior to the wedding). She worked with my caterer, cake baker, and took care of all the linens and tables and chairs. There's even a little balcony that you can toss your bouquet from! The downstairs was the bar/dancing and the upstairs held the food, some seating and just gave everyone the ability to mingle freely. It was a great experience.
