If you are looking for a professional photographer who enjoys his job and will show professionalism, DO NOT choose On'Que Photography.
I just got married back in July and my husband and I are EXTREMELY disappointed with the services we have received after booking him.
We booked him almost 1 year prior to our event. We really enjoyed our first meeting and we thought he was professional and we would have a positive experience signing with him. I remember again, to these days, him saying "do not worry, you will hear A LOT from me when your wedding day approaches"... Anyway, after signing up with him, we never heard unless I would contact him several times in a row for him to call back or email back. The lack of communication and interest in my wedding was a little annoying, but I decided not to pay too much attention, as long as the result was good...even though I was starting to doubt A LOT about his involvement in my special day. The day of the wedding, I never felt he was enjoying his job. A few times I looked for him to NEVER find him...but find his camera ON THE FLOOR where people were dancing. We were supposed to have him until midnight and at 11:30PM, I see him pack. I had to ask him what he thinking he was doing to hear "I am starting to pack but I will be back to finish, don't worry". REALLY?!

Anyway, because it was my wedding day, I decided to focus on more important things and enjoy my day with my husband....and hope for the best....except that disappointment kept coming my way!

We received the pictures 2 weeks after the wedding...we had asked for the lowest package ($1600 nonetheless) which I guess means "non retouched pictures"....however, I did not know that "non retouched pictures" would mean
- non focused pictures
- arm/foot/leg or even HEAD cut
- about 30 pictures of my wedding gown alone....compared with 9 pictures of the family (7 of them with either sun spots or shoe cut etc)
- some pictures taken by my family with a basic camera are MUCH better than his

And, to top it of....after he put my check in his account, even though I tried to email and call me NUMEROUS times to discuss our disappointment, I NEVER HEARD BACK from him...talk about customer satisfaction and professionalism.

I would NEVER recommend On'Que Photography. It was a big disappointment, and a real waste of money.

Luckily, we were able to get a retired professional photographer during our honeymoon who used my camera (Canon EOS) and did AMAZING pictures, which besides making us finally happy, emphasized the lack of professionalism and involvement from On'Que Photography!

It took us a WHOLE YEAR to get our wedding album from him, and this is after multiple phone calls (which he either did not answer or gave vague responses like "I'll have it in the next two weeks or so"), multiple emails (which went completely unanswered), and visits to his studio (yes during our lunch break because he's not always there in the evening). We disagreed with certain parts of our contract and he wrote the changes on a copy he kept and said he's send us a new one (which we never received) and so now we feel like we don't even have all of the products we paid for. He took forever to cash checks (thankfully we opened a second account specifically for our wedding) and when we met up with he would FORGET that we actually paid him.

He brought his "assistant" with him even though we specifically said we have to pay for vendors and if he is bringing one to notify us, and up until our rehearsal dinner the night before he said he wasn't. He staged our exit pictures and left EARLY, so there are NO pictures of the tossing of the bouquet or the garter.

I also have about 10 pictures with my husband after our ceremony all in pretty much the same position. We were married outside, in the perfect light, in a beautiful landscape at a historic house and he could only creatively come up with 2 positions and locations? He took more pictures of our building than of us together. Also, due to his "assistant" taking photographs at the same time but different angle as him, in about 95% of our photographs people are looking different directions, albiet with wonderful lighting and clarity.

Overall a no, my favorite pictures we from my friend who brought her own regular camera and sat in the aisle. Thank goodness we got him on a special deal...

On Q'ue Photography's owner/photographer, Carmichael was great. He had patience, listened to what I wanted, and provided very nice pictures of my big day, the rehearsal dinner before, as well as pictures the day after.
