The dynamic duo of Harry and Jean Ross, met over 25 years ago at the Waldorf=Astoria Hotel in NYC. From New York, they moved to Maui, and then Jean worked a summer in France in the kitchen of Jean Lenoir, while Harry toured the Continent. In the summer of 1983 , they were asked to move to Pittsburgh, to be the Executive Chef and Sous Chef at Heinz Hall for the Performing Arts, where Opening Night Catering was born. In 1991, they purchased their Strip location and have been been orchestrating memorable events from this site. Chef Harry Ross was also a member of the 1988 Pittsburgh Culinary Team, and won two Gold Medals in the field of pastries, in Frankfurt , Germany.
Jean and Harry Ross have owned Opening Night for over 24 years, and it is a dream team. Jean will work with clients to find out your needs and Harry will orchestrate the kitchen to produce an unforgettable event. They have an impeccable reputation and will honestly asses your needs.
