I customized and ordered invitations with The PaperSource online. At first, I thought this was great. There was a template/design that was exactly what I wanted. The online process was so simple, I just typed in my information and it generated a quick preview before I even placed my order. Once I placed my order, I was notified that I would receive a proof in 2-3 days. When I got my proof, my venue was spelled incorrectly and they left off the line that had the time of my wedding. Why would the website make you type this in if their "designers" then retype to send you a proof - this leaves room for a lot of errors. Also, you will only receive 2 proofs, anything more than that will be $20 for each additional proof. I think this is crazy if THEY are the ones making the mistakes. I don't have much confidence in the "designers" now to catch spelling errors, etc. I had about 5 people look at my proof to make sure I caught all mistakes because I obviously don't want to go back and forth with this company with changes because I will be charged $20 for additional proofs.

I had a hard time picking out wedding invitations. I was really overwhelmed with all the choices and thought paper source was out of my budget but they are able to work with any budget. I was able to get amazing invitations and assemble them myself to save on the cost. The staff was super helpful and made the process fly by.

I wanted to make my own wedding invitations for a number of reasons:
1. Budget - We didn't have a large budget and most wedding invitations can eat up a large chunk of that very quickly, even for a small event.
2. Meaning - We wanted our invitations to reflect the event and the two of us and nothing I was seeing online really did that.
3. Waste - Wedding invitations have a lot of useless paper. As environmentally-conscious people, we wanted to use as little paper and possible. It was also important that the paper was recycled.

I had looked at all of the major chains (Staples, Office Max, etc...) but couldn't find anything that really worked for what we were planning to do. I came across Paper Source and decided to head out to their Bethesda store to check it out. Not only did I find exactly what I was looking for, but one of the employees went around with us and helped us carefully select the cards, envelopes, and even suggested we make our own envelope inserts which we hadn't even considered. All said and done it cost us about $60 for everything (invitations, envelopes, and inserts) and they turned out beautifully! Paper Source also has their own selection of invitations that they will make for you and they have a great online store. If you are looking to make your own invitations, I would definitely recommend them.

I used Papersource.com to edit my own invitations. I loved how they looked, and enjoyed being in control of the wording and design details. They sent proofs and were very responsive to any minor changes. They arrived on time, and looked amazing. We got a lot of compliments from guests. The designs are simple, and not overly "bridal" or "whimsical."

we did our own invitations using materials from paper source. i loved the range of options they offered, and the fact that they allow you to do your own thing, as opposed to many other businesses which only offer professional printing!

Our wedding invitations were simple, elegant, and beautiful thanks to Paper Source. We had to change something last minute, we stopped by the Georgetown store and found the service to be exceptional. Paper Source is one of my new favorite stores. I will definitely be returning.

We were looking for three things in our invitations: Purple, decent quality at a reasonable price, and able to accommodate two languages. I searched everywhere for something that fit all three criteria and eventually got really discouraged and overwhelmed. So we went to Paper Source in Georgetown to discuss options with them. We had to wait awhile before we could meet with someone, but that was my own fault for not making an appointment. And when it was finally our turn, they were GREAT. They talked through options with us, showed us tons of examples, and finally helped us pick out everything we needed to make our own. If I had been able to find a pre-made invitation that fit our criteria, I'd have done that instead because there are lots of nice ones available for only about $100 more than what we spent on materials, and it would have been worth it for the savings in time. But given our parameters, this was our best option, and the people at Paper Source were great. And it turns out that I LOVE our invitations. I don't think we saved much money doing them this way, but it was the only way we were able to get exactly what we wanted.

I did my own invitations, but got the paper at Paper Source. They have all types of paper and stamps. The people at the store are very helpful. It can get expensive if you want to do something fancy, but if you keep it simple by getting plain paper and choosing just a couple things to accent the invite with, you can make a gorgeous invitation for only a couple of dollars per invite. For example, we chose a stamp that we used as a theme for all the wedding paper save the date, menu, place cards etc. We got tons of compliments on the invitations.

I didn't have the best experience at Paper Source. I went in and spent three hours picking and finalizing my invitations and they said I would have my proof in two days. I was dealing with a trainee and then a supposed senior employee Three days later there was no proof (they knew I was working on a deadline). Then when I called them they said there was no proof because a hold was put on my order because they needed to ask me something - so there was the first delay and no one called to tell me about the hold. Then they told me that the price quote they gave me was wrong and it was actually more expensive then they had quoted me. Then they told me that they might now be able to get the to me by the promised date. There was a lot of back and forth and then store manager tried to push the order through, I ended getting them just in time with not more than 5 hours to spare (I was going on a overseas trip and needed them to go out before I left). However, the whole time it was me to had to call and follow up to make sure everything was going as it should be. There didn't really compensate me for the issues - only 20 percent off the envelopes which was like 20 dollars on over $1,000 order. I don't think I would use this store again. It was a lot of unneeded stress. But I have to say that the invites did look beautiful.

We used the Reston, Virginia Paper Source to DIY all of our stationery, including save-the-dates, invitations, and escort cards. We also purchased our thank you notes here. Overall it was a positive experience, though they often had limited stock in certain color/paper/size combinations which forced us to make multiple trips. Of course we could have ordered online, but we liked the convenience of being able to see everything in person and not having to wait for shipping. We didn’t have any issues with the quality of the paper and the staff was always super friendly and helpful. Just be aware that the cost of paper can add up quickly, especially when you account for misprints.

I ordered stamps online for my wedding placement cards and personalized mailing stamps. One of my stamps I ordered was marked delivered on Thursday in the tracking package provided. It was Tuesday when I call to ask what should I do next. I spoke to FedEx and they said they would have to get back to me in 24 hours after they investigate. I spoke to Kim and after verifying she informed me they would send me another stamp. I received the stamps a few days later and had a nice surprise along with it. Kim personally added a Thank you note apologizing for the lost of items.
I've used Paper source for other crafty projects and attended classes they have available. They are always offer great service and are always helpful and ready to teach. I recommend Paper source fully. They have great products and great service!
