When we walked into Paxon Hollow, we knew that it was where we wanted our ceremony and reception to be held. The ballroom is incredible, and the view from the deck was perfect. Recently, their restaurant and ballroom were re-done, just in time for our wedding! The dance floor is more centered, and the carpets and bar are brand new.

One thing that could have gone smoother was the rehearsal. My officiant couldn't make it, and I had let the coordinator know that we would need some guidance on where/how to walk in. Long story short, she was meeting with another group at the time of our rehearsal and I ended up running the rehearsal on my own! All we needed was 15 minutes or so of guidance, and I got around 5 minutes and had to relay all of the information to my bridal parties. Thank goodness I had my vows printed and envisioned how I wanted everyone to walk in.

On our wedding day, it rained up until an hour before the ceremony. Our ceremony was at 5:30, and at 3pm, our coordinator showed us the deck and recommended we have the ceremony indoors on the dance floor. There is an awning on the deck, set back from the gazebo, so I said we should setup the chairs outside anyways just in case the rain stopped in 2.5 hours. And it did!! We had our ceremony on the deck with everyone under the awning, and it went smoothly. Not everyone could take a seat, but that was OK.

The sun started to peek out, so we were able to take photos on the golf courses! Because of the rain, there were no golfers and we were able to take photos wherever we wanted on the golf courses. Keep in mind that if there are golfers, you can only take photos with the entire bridal party on the T-off practice area. Only the bride and groom are allowed to go off in a golf cart and take photos on the courses.

The food at cocktail hour and dinner were AMAZING. Everyone was raving about the food. The signature drinks were fun- my drink was the amaretto sour.

I definitely recommend Paxon !

My husband and I used PHCC for our wedding ceremony (out on the gazebo of the terrace section of Paxon Hollow) and reception on 6/29/2012! We loved working with them, and here are a few reasons why--they are very attentive to your needs..My husband and I worked with Joe F. and he was AMAZING! He helped us through every step of the wedding process, and he made us feel like we were number 1!! (He said I was always smiling, which was true--he has a very fun, while also making you feel at ease--the wedding planning process can be a lot to handle, but Joe makes it fun to do!) During the wedding day itself, Joe was their :)

He greeted me as I walked down the aisle (and told me to just keep me :) helped us/our photographer take amazing photos on the golf course, got us situated when it was time for announcements/dances, made sure all our guests needs were taken care of, and even got us our favorite drinks/ food (which was important since it was a 100+ degree heat!) My favorite time of the night was when I saw Joe dancing out on the dance floor--he will get your reception all excited and ready to dance the night away--for one song, 'Jump' he yelled "Everybody to the dance floor" and was JUMPING along with my husband's groomesmen--that was a highlight of our wedding I'll never forget/made me so happy/impressed!!! I would highly recommend PHCC!!!

We had a Christmas-themed wedding held at Paxon Hollow Country Club. It was very beautifully decorated for the season, including a Christmas tree that provided a good photo-op. We dealt with Joe Farrell, who was accommodating and friendly, although we did have to remind him of specific details a few times before the wedding. The night of the wedding, though, everything went perfectly. He coordinated everything as we had requested, and the wedding went smoothly and exactly as we were hoping. The food is outstanding. We received many compliments on how good the food is, especially cocktail hour. Bartenders are great; generally, a great reception hall. Our guests had a great time.

I would say we had very good experience with Paxon Hollow! The manager was very responsive and ready too meet all our needs, however there we couple financial moments that we didn't understand correct (or he didn't explain it right), which turned out right before the wedding... Anyway, we got great support during the whole wedding planning process, and we were very pleased with the result! The reception site is gorgeous (hight ceilings just won my heart!), golf course looked great (so did the outside pictures). However the manager was very nervous that our pictures were on the way of playing golfers, so all the time we spent outside we were in a rush, worried more about golfers than about our wedding...
Food was delicious, cake was great (however when I came closer, I noticed that cake-topper probably fell on the floor and broke, so they just glued "groom's leg" and may be though no one would notice...).
After the wedding many guests told us how beautiful everything was, how tasty the food was, and it was one of the best wedding they've recently been to! I would definitely recommend Paxon Hollow to any bride! Even though I mentioned couple "negative" moments, I still believe we were very lucky to find Paxon Hollow among great diversity of wedding venues, and it was great having our wedding there!!

The manager was very helpful and willing to compromise, however it's not the cheapest venue. We were very pleased with the outcome, and so were all the guests! There were a couple of mishaps here and there, but in general everything was great!

I received many compliments regarding the food. Everyone said that it was absolutely the best food they have had at a wedding....especially cocktail hour- there were a ton of options. I also received many compliments regarding the wedding cake. A few people, who are very picky, said it was the best wedding cake they have had in years. I was really pleased with everything. They went above and beyond for me.

My wedding cake was the one thing about my wedding day that makes me sad. The country club where we had the wedding offered a cake as part of the package. And the pictures they showed looked beautiful. So I signed on for a 3-tiered white cake with very pale pink trim. What I got, looked like a 5 year old’s birthday party cake. We peeked into the reception room during cocktail hour and I thought my husband saw a mouse by the way he reacted. He ushered me away from the door so I couldn’t see the cake. There was an argument with the banquet manager, and a refusal to help, so a friend of ours, who was trained as a pastry chef, bombarded the country club’s kitchen and proceeded to fix the cake. It ended up being pretty, but it’s a shame it had to be fixed in the first place. So if you book your reception at Paxon Hollow Country Club – beware of their cakes!!!

We paid $85 per person and this included 4 hours of open bar and a choice between beef or chicken. It also included our wedding cake and a desert table that we had multiple arguments with the banquet manager about. Apparently, their signature item is their dessert table. So during your reception, they dim the lights, light sparklers, play some music, and wheel this thing onto the dance floor. I saw something similar to this when I went to go see “Tony n Tina’s Wedding” on Broadway – which is a parody of an Italian wedding. I asked if this could just be skipped for my wedding. They had a real problem with this. Insisted that this is something they do there. I said, “Well, for this one time, can you just put the table in the corner and we’ll have the DJ announce that desserts are now available?” No. This was a problem. Back and forth until they finally agreed - but I had to insist. But the night of my wedding, around dessert time, the lights dimmed and I saw a dessert table begin to be wheeled out of the kitchen. My sister saved the day and ran over and had them stop – but if she hadn’t – they were going to go through with their sparkler-dessert-a-palooza – even though I insisted they don’t. They argued with us over everything. And for $85 a plate? It’d be nice to get what I asked for without a struggle.
