Port Gamble is a privately owned 120 acre National Historic Landmak on the shores of Hood Canal. A vibrant town with charming turn-of-the-century buildings, a picturesque historic church and New England style homes on maple tree-lined streets, the serene and wooded surroundings and stunning waterfront view offer a unique opportunity for the perfect wedding and reception.

St. Paul's church was built in 1879 and modeled after a church in East Machias, Maine. St. Paul's Church offers beautiful indoor ceremonies as well as indoor/outdoor patio receptions for up to 150 guests. A newly remodeled reception area spills out onto a tented terrace overlooking Gamble Bay. Tables and chairs are included in the venue rental. And we'll ring the steepled church bells as you're pronounced husband and wife!

The Hood Canal Vista Pavilion and adjacent tented Outdoor Pavilion provide a wonderful indoor/outdoor wedding event, perfect for unpredictable Northwest weather. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and the views of Hood Canal are spectacular. The Hood Canal Vista Pavilion features a stunning rock fireplace, french doors and huge windows to take advantage of the water and sloping lawn views, accommodating 150 guests. We got married on September 2013 in the charming town of Port Gamble with the ceremony at St. Paul's Church and reception at the Hood Canal Vista Pavilion. Julie, Pete and staff were helpful and responsive during the planning process and were accommodating the day of, going above and beyond to make our day as seamless as possible. Our guests gushed about the gorgeous location with the breathtaking view of the water and the cutest chapel there ever was. One of our favorite memories was ringing the church bell after the ceremony and hearing our loved ones cheer. We had such a wonderful day and a large part of that was due to the venue. If you are looking for a truly unique experience that is classy, gorgeous and charming then look no further than Port Gamble Weddings.

Our wedding in Port Gamble at St. Paul's church and our ceremony at the Pavilion were incredible and the staff that supported us throughout it all were excellent. Not only did they provide us with so many answers and bits of information throughout the planning process, they provided great support on the day of and really really wonderful support during the rehearsal and the ceremony itself - a special shout out to Pete for being so reliable, informative and helpful on our wedding weekend - he was the shining star of the whole weekend. In addition to the staff being excellent, the venues are just stunning and make for a lovely, lovely wedding.

Port Gamble Weddings was a joy to work with throughout the whole planning process! There were no last minute surprises or extra fees. Everything as discussed and expected. Timely, transparent and professional.

The venue itself is quaint, gorgeous, Pacific Northwest, elegant, airy and just plain magical. At the initial visit, we decided instantly to get married at St. Paul's and have our reception at the Pavillion.

Working with the team was amazing. Kelly was very helpful, super responsive and open to our needs. I love that Port Gamble partners with AA rentals and picks up all linens, dishes, glasses, flatware etc. the day before the wedding and sets everything up for the party. Including 4 high chairs for us!

The final paperwork in April was very thorough and prompted us to think about all important details.
The rehearsal the day before the wedding was well coordinated and guided by Pete from Port Gamble Weddings. He had a lot of good suggestions and in hindsight we are glad he took charge and gave us a lot of good tips and hints.

The chapel and the pavillion offer a great soundsystem, which we used with our I-phone for ceremony and reception music.

On wedding day, Pete and Kelly were at the chapel to queue and help and give hints. Queues were needed for the wedding party to time their walk down the aisle and for the music to be coordinated. I remember them being dressed very nice and being just as excited and happy as we were.

Staff was also present throughout the ceremony throughout the evening without being intrusive. We didn't have many questions, but they were there when we needed them.

All interactions throughout the whole process were marked by professionalism, flexibility, responsiveness and genuine kindness. Everybody we encountered was very personable and easy to get along with. No question was left unanswered and things were explained patiently and never rushed.

Port Gamble is an amazing place to get married. It's got tons of charm! It's a historic landmark, the buildings are all quaint and adorable. However, it kind of weirds me out that the whole place (I mean the whole TOWN) is owned by one company...once I found that out, it kind of developed this sort of creepy vibe to me, but ANYWAY...this is completely irrelevant to my review. The place is beautiful!

The wedding venue (s) are obviously a huge money maker, and in some of my interactions it didn't feel like Port Gamble Weddings would be willing to bend over backwards to make me feel "taken care of", because they have no shortage of weddings to book there. I heard second hand that someone from the Port Gamble staff at my wedding were standing in the back talking loudly about how wasted they were at some rager they went to - while the guests were walking in! Uh, not cool? So that's where they lose stars on professionalism.

I would say Port Gamble Weddings' saving grace (other than how gorgeous the location & venues are) is their assistant coordinator, Kelly. She was friendly, professional and super attentive whenever I brought up any issues, and I really enjoyed working with her!

The people that we worked with from the coordinator to the setup team were so friendly and all around great people - exactly who you would want to be at your wedding. We got married at St. Paul's Church and had our reception at the Hood Canal Vista Pavilion. The service we received leading up to, during, and after our wedding was fantastic. The Olympic Property Group staff was very professional, helpful, and responsive. As the bride, I felt like they were truly invested in making our wedding day a success. They do have some strict rules, however, but the staff tries very hard to be as accommodating as they can. When I had trouble with my caterer (which was from their preferred vendors list) they offered to help where they could to make the situation better. They even told me that had I decided to switch caterers right before the wedding, the first thing they'd do is get on the phone with the caterer and figure out what wasn't working. That is a sign of true customer service and I felt like I was in good hands. Not only is Port Gamble a beautiful site for a wedding, but the wonderful staff helps keep the wedding planning enjoyable.

Everything about Port Gamble is charming. It's a historic town, founded in 1853, with a chapel and a reception hall overlooking the Hood Canal. We were married at St. Paul's Church and held our reception at the Hood Canal Vista Pavilion (which is just 3 blocks away). The steepled church feels like it came out of a fairy tale. It was the perfect size for my guest list (about 130). I'll never forget turning the corner into the sanctuary and seeing everyone I love there to support me. I love that the venue was intimate enough that I can say that. The Hood Canal Vista Pavilion is a stunning reception hall built in 2009 in the historic 1850's style. It fits the town so well you would swear it had been there all along. When we came in for set up all of the tables and chairs (which were included in the rental price) were in their places - which meant that our set up was faster and easier. After the formalities we opened the french doors and our guests really enjoyed wandering the lawn and taking in the view.

I was so grateful for all of the help I recieved from the staff here. Beforehand, the wedding coordinator worked directly with my vendors to make sure that the timing for pictures and set up went without a hitch. The day of coordinators were both available by cell phone for the duration of my event. They met us at the venues when we arrived to make sure everything was going smoothly and to find out if we needed anything. They helped prompt my wedding party down the aisle for the ceremony. These girls went above and beyond their call of duty by working closely with my vendors to pull off my perfect wedding day.

One of my favorite things about getting married here is the small town feel. We got to take advantage of the whole town for photo ops with my photographer. We took pictures overlooking the water, by the water towers, in front of the old fire hall, by the General Store, with traffic stopped as we crossed the two land highway. These are pictures you can't get anywhere else.

The list of caterers Port Gamble works with were wonderful to work with. We ended up going with Le Garmache and was very happy with that decision.

I would recommend getting married in Port Gamble to any bride!

When we heard about the plans to build the new pavilion building, we knew that was where we wanted to get married. After viewing the completed building, we were ecstatic with our decision as the building is beautiful. We especially loved the fire place. The staff were really helpful and even allowed us to use a conference room down by the general store for the bridal party to get ready in (the mirrors were big and beautiful down there!). Since our wedding was right after Christmas and New Year's, they gave us the option of keeping the holiday decorations we liked up. The location of the Hood Canal Vista Pavilion is excellent, with a sweeping view of the water. It was great for taking photos. We were sad that we couldn't pin or attach things to the walls, but that is pretty normal. Instead we brought in some Asian folding screens and some lattice work to add our own decorative touch. The value of an all day rental is excellent, allowing for a lot of set-up and take-down time.

The location was absolutely perfect - the weather was incredible, it was beautifully set up when we arrived - perfect.

During the planning process, the staff was always responsive and courteous. They promptly answered questions and helped with whatever we needed.

The staff onsite the day of the wedding unfortunately was not kind and helpful, but rather intrusive and offensive. The staff member interfered with the DJ and caterer. They were also rude and pushy to my parents. This was all related to us getting out of the space on time - which had been planned carefully and we were out with 10 minutes to spare, so I'm not sure what caused this.

In spite of the rather disappointing conduct of the staff during the reception, I wouldn't have changed anything if I could have. Port Gamble was so perfect and was worth the obnoxious staff member to get married there. And for the amazing spot, the price was extremely inexpensive.

We had our wedding in the new Hood Canal Vista Pavilion. It was absolutely wonderful. The entire staff working for Port Gamble Weddings are great. They answered every email and voice mail in a timely manner. Their DOC was there to make sure we could get in and she checked in with us throughout the day and wasn't controlling. I will recommend them for anything from a wedding to just housing a large party.
