Describe your DJ style:
Our DJs have excellent time management skills. We get the all the formalities out of the way as soon as we can so you and your guests can enjoy the dancing portion of your wedding, allowing you to relax & enjoy your event while we keep things on time and up-beat.
Is there a limit to the amount of music that can be requested?
You can request exactly what you would like to hear. Ultimately it is your wedding and or event you should be 100% satisfied. We will strongly recommend alternative suggestions and try different styles until we get all of the guests up and dancing.
What is your usual attire?
We like to stand apart from the wedding party and the venue employees. We usually dress with a sport jacket, dress shirt and tie (depending on the wedding type) it will be dress slacks & dress shoes.
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
More often than not, we have the songs the customer requests. Sometimes we will have to purchase the song on iTunes. Getting the song directly from the client will guarantee the version we play is the one they requested.
How many other DJs do you work with?
We have 4 Full time DJ's on staff for weddings, corporate and Sweet Sixteens.They are bilingual and have the experience to Emcee and DJ the events. We also have 3 more DJs that can play music but are not comfortable on the mic.
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
3 Hours
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
If it is necessary or preferred by the client, then yes. However, the whole event can usually be finalized via phone & email. Alternately, they can see the DJs in action in any of our many club residencies in Miami-Dade & Broward Counties.
Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?
We are excellent with Hispanic style weddings & events. We have done our fair share of Indian (hindu) and Italian weddings. We thrive in destination weddings especially with clients from New York and DC.
Can the client submit a do-not-play list?
Absolutely!
Do you bring your own equipment?
Yes, we are capable of providing sound for 40 guests to 400 guests and everything in between.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
We have an abundant choice of effects to choose from. From up-lighting to washing the room in the color of your event, to moving heads that dance to the music when the dancing starts or scan the room slowly in the colors of your choice to create an elegant mood. We also have low lying fog to create the illusion of dancing on the clouds for your first dance as well as lights that replicate dinner under the stars.We can make your dream wedding a reality with music video montages of your first dance and much more.
How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
We are self-sufficient unless the client wants a specific look of cohesiveness and flow for their wedding. Depending on the complexity of the event and on how many items the client adds, it could be as little as 1 hour to as much as 3 hours when doing up-lighting, and 4-5 hours when doing trussing video screens or TVs for Video DJing etc.
Do you have any extra space requirements?
The average wedding requires us to use an area of 10-15 square feet close to or in front of the dance floor. We always suggest a small riser which helps us get a better view of the dance floor. We like to feel like we are part of the event for if we are too far from the dance floor we are disconnected from the guest, too close and we get interrupted excessively. We strongly suggest a DO NOT PLAY list for each event.
Do you have a sign or banner that you use at events?
No. We feel that our music & excellent service is all the advertising we need. We rely on clients referrals and handing out cards when asked. If approved by the client, we might have give away CD's with some promotional info on it. We would not want to take the attention away from the client's special day.
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
We only speak when necessary and we know when we can during & between songs.
How would you motivate the crowd if no one is dancing?
A true professional can read the crowd and adjust song choices accordingly to motivate movement on the dance floor. There are many ways to get the guest up and dancing. We will nudge and encourage them verbally if needed, but we have enough knowledge of music to get the captive audience dancing.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
We will usually have a play list ready to go if we need to take a break for necessities.
Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?
Yes, absolutely!
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
We usually have a DJ on stand by in case of car accidents or medical emergencies. We are constantly in communication with the client so they can be at ease on their special day.
Do you book yourself for more than one event in a day?
Yes, but only if there at least 4 hours in between the two events. General rule of thumb is no, unless the client specifically requests one of our DJs only. We would arrange for an additional set-up tech to help with the set-up & break down of the gear to free up the talent to get to the event on time.
What is your overtime rate?
$100-150/hour
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
If the event is outside of our normal service area (tri-county) then we will require mileage and accomodation compensation
What is the required deposit to secure your services?
25-30% deposit, full payment required 1 week prior to the event.
