We had our wedding reception at Prince Seafood last weekend. I worked with Tim, the banquet coordinator, and he is very nice and easy to work with. Prince Seafood is definitely an upscale, Chinese banquet locale in Orange County. There are really only a few places to hold a large Chinese banquet in Orange County, and I have to say after visiting most of them, Prince struck us as the most classy with the best food. We had a lot of questions for Tim and he was always available to answer them. They were very flexible with accommodating our requests for things like extra tables (for the reception table, scrapbook table, cake table, etc.) even at the last minute. I really liked that they let us bring in our own alcohol ($25 per table flat fee for corkage). The corkage fee included chilling all of our wine/beer/champagne in the back and bringing out it when a table requested it.

I am not Chinese (Jewish/Irish/English ethnically) but my fiance's family is, and Tim seemed to take all of my questions about Chinese banquets in stride. Prince seemed to be the best of both worlds. By Chinese banquet standards it might have been a little expensive, but we got the whole restaurant to ourselves (which doesn't happen at many Chinese restaurants which put up these cheap looking partitions and keep serving regular customers on the other side--which also leads to a lot of party crashing) and the food was really good. The service is also stellar, which is another thing Chinese banquets are not usually known for. Overall, all I heard about before we went to visit Prince was "furiwa, furiwa, furiwa as a classy OC banquet restaurant" and honestly, we found that Prince blew Furiwa out of the water in most areas. The food was better at Prince, the main room is epically dramatic and classy at Prince, the flexibility of the staff was better at Prince, the parking situation (a HUGE, well-lit, clean parking-garage basically devoted to Prince with an elevator right to the restaurant) far exceeded the crowded, dumpy parking situation at Furiwa, and the value of other little extras at Prince just made it the clear the choice.

The main room at Prince also has two smaller alcoves which are included for use as we wanted. We used one for our tea ceremony (which Prince provided tea and cups for at no extra cost) as well as a changing room (they gave us screens to close off part of the room and make it feel totally comfortable). The other room was the perfect size to set up our photo booth which was very popular.

Overall, Prince far exceeded our expectations and Tim is just about the nicest guy you could deal with. All of our Chinese relatives were impressed with the service, food and location.

I had my wedding here on 4/17/10 and it was amazing! I worked with Samuel on booking the venue and menu...he was so patient with me and very straight-forward with everything. We met with Samuel twice before the wedding and both times he was polite and had great recommendations for us with regards to the cocktail hour, appetizers, bar and menu. We went with the traditional 10 course menu and our guests were raving about the quality and huge portions. One of our guests even thought my father must personally know the owners (this is not the case) for us to have received such great service and quality food. The room was impeccable and we got compliment after compliment about how beautiful the room was. We also loved the fact that we had the whole room to ourselves and didn't have to share a room with the general public like in other asian restaurants. In addition, Prince Seafood already offers covered chairs as part of their banquet and they were all clean and nicely pressed for the wedding. We also hosted our entire bar for the whole evening and the bartender was very accommodating and poured great drinks. At the end of the night Samuel packed all the extra food for us to take and made sure that we had everything so that nothing was left behind. I can't say enough about this venue. If you want a great Asian banquet, with exceptional service and delicious food go to Prince Seafood.

The restaurant was awesome. I love the high ceilings and the wood finishing on the walls. It made our reception look very elegant yet traditional. I love the fact that we had the whole bottom floor to ourselves. In addition to the extra room for the appetizers and bar area. All my friends and family had a great evening. Staff was wonderful and would recommend many more of my friends to host their events there.

We had our wedding reception here. We had a traditional Chinese style wedding banquet. The manager, Tim, worked with us and was very patient with our many demands at every step. He helped us create our own banquet menu. For no additional charge, he gave us tea and supplies for the tea ceremony, covered chairs, colored napkins, and soda. The food was excellent, well-prepared, and even my elderly Chinese aunts and uncles approved. The service was fast, efficient, and professional. The room was mangificent with high ceilings and wood detailing. You can tell that this restaurant is well-maintained. We give Prince Seafood our highest possible recommendation.
