Ralph Butler Band is by far the best wedding band in St. Louis. He has music for everyone and there is not one person sitting when he is playing! Book him early, because he is a busy guy!

I wish I had listened to my heart instead of my parents...I wish we would have had Arvell and Co. as our band, but we went with Ralph Butler. Maybe I'm critical since it was my wedding and I had planned the entire thing because the guests said the band was good, but I wasn't pleased. I had to go through a management company in the beginning and when they stopped responding I went straight to the namesake - but even then I only was able to speak with his assistant who had to write down all of my questions and get back to me. Twenty minutes before the doors were set to open in or dining room, the lead singer asked me what songs were supposed to be played for what dance; this, after I had sent several emails with the list months beforehand. Instead of the promised pianist during dinner, the band set up an ipod and "Baby Got Back" was the second song on that list - wholly inappropriate for dinner music. After the break when everyone was boogying to the mix that my friend and I put together, Ralph asked if we wanted to keep playing the mix instead of the band going back on. Hello! My parents payed good money for the band to play, not a CD! The band hardly played any of the songs we had requested beforehand. I guess one good thing was that they didn't play songs from our "Do Not Play" list. This is supposed to be one of the best bands in STL, but I would shop around.
