We had our wedding at Ravenswood Historic Site in Livermore on October 19, 2013. It was a gorgeous venue that has a lot of versatility. There are spectacular locations for pictures that are varied (orchard, vineyards, old cement ruins, gazebo, tree-lined walkways, old barn, Victorian buildings, etc.) It's on a public park and there are tours every second & fourth Sunday. It's worth taking a look at if you're interested in an outdoor wedding, with options for indoors. They have summer and winter options - in the winter, you are limited to indoors and less people. They do not provide any catering or beverages, so you're allowed to do basically what you want in that way.

The crew at Livermore Area Parks & Recreation District were easy to work with and set up the tables/chairs exactly as discussed. They were available on the day of to help out or answer questions. There is a room for getting ready, with plenty of outlets and space. We got several compliments all day about how wonderful the venue was. The pictures are beautiful from almost every angle.

Our only minor issue was the value. It's a wonderful venue and for the price, was great for the Bay Area. However, because they are a venue only - we had to pay separately for catering, beverages, linens and other rentals - etc. When it all combined, we felt like what we paid for the venue could've been $500+ less. However, we are still extremely happy with how everything turned out and we wouldn't have changed anything to do with the venue.
