We chose R&R Catering from a list of approved vendors that we needed to use for wedding venue. At first, everything went smoothly with our rep, Diana. From the beginning, Diana was extremely responsive and helpful up until our menu tasting. After we had our tasting, Diana suddenly left the company and we were given absolutely no notice that this occurred or why. We were never contacted by R&R. We had scheduled our walk-through with our venue a month before the wedding and Diana had confirmed she would be at the walk-through. When DIana didn't respond to my e-mail the day before and then didn't show up for the walk-through, I thought it was odd. I called Diana's cell and left her a voicemail. She was kind enough to call me back to tell me she had left R&R and they had taken all of her clients information. R&R never sent an e-mail, called, and didn't show up to the walk-through. I contacted R&R immediately after our walk-through because Diana was nice enough to give us Michelle (the manager's) contact info. I e-mailed various times, called and left voicemails, and got no response back. I decided to try to call and ask for the owner - it just so happened Michelle answered. She was very kind, but acted like nothing was wrong with the no responses. Michelle became responsive with both myself and my mom and we finalized the contract. On our wedding day we were disappointed with the R&R supervisor. We had planned out the cash tips accordingly for their staff based on the number of staff in the contract. We had put all of the R&R tips in one envelope and gave to the supervisor to divide evenly amongst the staff. We found out no tip was given to the bartenders - who the supervisor argued were not "staff" and refused to give them cash. We also realized that the 3 cases of votives on our contract were never put out or used. We tried to contact R&R by phone & e-mail after the wedding to file a complaint - no response at all. I do not recommend this caterer.

We used R&R Catering for our wedding November 2016. I can't say enough great things about them. I worked with Michelle who was amazing! Very responsive and knew exactly what she was talking about. The linens and china provided were beautiful. We provided our own alcohol and Michelle was spot on with the quantities (she recalled them from the top of her head during our coordination meeting. IMPRESSIVE!). We received SO many compliments on the food and how good it was. I would definitely recommend R&R Catering for any catering needs that you might have.

My Review may look like it's all over the place - but hear me out. When I contacted R&R catering the then Event Designer Dianna was fantastic & responsive. Did food tasting -- and we gave the food 2 thumbs up!
Military Discount was offered - great! Fast Forward...the day of our walk through at the venue, I get there, my Day of Coordinator gets there, the Venue POCs are there and no Diana. After waiting for about 15-20 minutes I call and got her voicemail. Immediately I get a Text from Diana telling me she is no longer with R&R catering and that Michelle (the owner) would contact me about our wedding. Told me that she was not allowed to contact any clients and that Michelle would not be able to meet me at the walk through - but she knew about it. I texted Diana back telling her that I wish her luck and "thanked" her for telling me she wasn't showing up. I put "thanks" in quotes because I would have thought that her or Michelle would have reached out to clients and informed them that there was a personnel change. Moving forward I think we're in good shape because Diana said in her text that Michelle would give me a call -- so I waited. Nothing. I waited a few more days. Nothing. I call her. Nothing. I call again. Nothing. I finally get Michelle and she is less than professional. She was short and curt with me and my concerns. My husband then took the lead in calling & finalizing everything with her because at that point I was shocked at how unprofessional she was (like a switch one minute nice - next minute short and she seemed bothered that I was calling about my wedding!!!!!) and had no desire to converse with her. If we hadn't paid all that $$ I would have found another vendor. R&R Staff at the event - great & professional. Food - good! Owner - not so much! Good luck to those who select R&R - I pray your experience is better than mine.

I had the most stressful and miserable experience with this company. I will never hire them again, nor would I recommend them to any future bride and groom. It was literally 6 days prior to my wedding and I did not know who my (new) Event Planner was, nor did I have my updated contract (not exaggerating). This was my experience… I booked this company 7 months before my wedding day, at which point I was assigned an Event Planner. Throughout the months leading up to the wedding, I had e-mailed the planner several times (to ask questions, ask about payment deposits, inquire about my updated contract, etc.). The response times were as follows: 12-days, 8-days, 5-days, 14-days, and 27-days (!) – Not to mention I had to send a follow-up e-mail almost every time. Then, on 08/29, I contacted the same Event Planner with a question that I really needed an answer to. I followed up several times, and on 09/14 I finally received a response from the owner and an updated contract (that was updated incorrectly). I asked the owner a follow-up question, and asked her to update my contract (since there were discrepancies in it). I followed up several times and indicated my frustration about the lack of timely communication. Finally, the owner called me on 09/25 – 6 days before my wedding – to discuss details. On my wedding day, the catering truck driver got stuck in an area where they were specifically told not to drive in, and we had to deal with getting them out – which required a trip to Home Depot to purchase chains and required one of the groomsmen to go get my fiancé’s truck. I mentioned this to the owner, and instead of an apology, I just got another excuse: “There was no one giving any instruction on parking at all. The tire got stuck in a ditch they had just dug and poorly filled in.” – incorrect, my fiancé’s dad repeatedly told them not to drive in that area. Overall, I wish I spent my 13K on another company. Extremely disappointing.

THE WORST - R&R was contracted to cater our wedding in September. R&R was scheduled to arrive at the venue at 1:30 to begin setup before the ceremony started at 4. However, their trucks didn't start arriving until 3:30 which is when guests were starting to arrive. Nobody from R&R contacted us or our wedding coordinator to tell us that they would be late. We were supposed to have drinks ready for the guests as they arrived but due to their late arrival these drinks were not served. After the ceremony was a cocktail hour. We were supposed to have a pre-mixed signature cocktail , but the bartender did not prepare it and therefore we ran out of liquor and midway through the reception ran out and had to send someone to pick up more. The amount of liquor initially purchased was on the recommendation of R&R staff. One of the passed hors douvres was not served at all, another was nothing like what we sampled at the tasting, and plates and silverware were nowhere to be found. During the dinner buffet we arranged to have a vegetarian station to accommodate our guest's religious dietary restrictions. However, NONE of the items for this station were served and instead meat was served at this station. It was also brought to our attention that several place settings were not set, bread and butter were not served (though we paid for it) and the plates and food were being removed before many guests had even had a chance to visit the buffet. After the wedding we tried for a week tor each the company and all of our emails and phone calls went unanswered. Finally we able to reach Michelle Bloxton, the company owner, who told us that the company was being dissolved and that she would look into getting us a refund. After nearly a month and dozens of unanswered calls and email we still have not received so much as an apology from Michelle, let alone a refund which she agreed to. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this woman and this company.

WARNING- Do not use this company!! If I could give this company zero stars I would. Attention brides-Do not put your trust in this company. I had the experience from hell with this company and specifically the owner Michelle. I researched this company for my wedding and actually got a couple of recommendations from friends-it was highly reviewed and recommended so we decided to use them for our wedding in 9/16. We had a great tasting and were working with Dianna who was great up until she just stopped responding to our emails-2 weeks before the wedding. Obviously she quit however no one decided to inform us!! We were desperately tying to get in touch with someone (wedding is 2 weeks away) and ended up having to get in touch with the owner Michelle. She appeared very attentive at first however never apologized about the lack of communication and prompt ending to the caterer we trusted and made it seem like we were "bothering" her when trying to get final details together. In fact I had to email and call several times because up until the final week of the wedding they couldn't get the final contract correct (numbers..food etc was all off) this made me very nervous. Do not put your trust in this company bc my instinct to be nervous was right!! They totally dropped the ball and I was so disappointed in their services as they were not what we paid for in the least. The caterer (whom I had never met-I was promised the owner but she was not there) was 30 minutes late. They put out filthy glassware (lipstick marks and chocolate stains) which my day of coordinator had to ask to be replaced (obviously they think it's ok to have dirty glassware). The linens were mismatching and not ironed. The entrees came out cold and not what we had agreed upon for sides. Half of the room got wine poured while the other half did not. When it came time to cut the cake and take pictures there were no utensils to cut the cake. The owner does not bother to respond still-as long as they got paid

Below are excerpts from an e-mail I sent to the owner of R&R catering, MIchelle Bloxton, after my wedding. It continues to go unanswered despite two follow-up e-mails and a phone call. Michelle did acknowledge receiving the e-mail but never responded.

...
we were both very surprised to learn the day before our wedding that [our team captain] no longer worked for R & R Catering...The fact that you intercepted an e-mail with my day of coordinator 3 days prior gives me every indication that you knew several days in advance that the person I'd worked with would not be working my event and no one from R & R notified me or my day of coordinator accordingly...you failed to identify a POC to either myself, my day of coordinator or the venue as of 6:30 pm [the day before my wedding] - my husband and I remained uncertain that R & R would follow through on their contract.
...
My husband and I ended up toasting our marriage with sparkling cider despite having gone to Total Wine to have a private champagne tasting to select our wine for toasting our nuptials. Meanwhile, under aged minors were served champagne under our Banquet/ABC license. Given that we had an entire case of champagne left over and no non-alcoholic options left, it seems reasonable to suspect that the servers served the sparkling cider and non-alcoholic sparkling wine BEFORE the champagne.
...
the passed hors d'oeuvres were cold and that very few passes were made - one guest only saw someone once and saw someone else run a guy down to get a bite to eat
...
the salad dressing was being served out of a large, plastic water pitcher and no dressing was placed on the table
...
two of your employees/servers were talking loudly during our ceremony. So loudly that several guests turned around to see who was being so rude and disruptive
...
the cake was never served to my guests. It was cut and pieces were left out for guests to collect but it was not served.

R & R catering was a big disappointment!! My husband and I booked a wedding venue, which ended up foreclosing. R&R Catering were one of many vendors we booked for that venue. When I contacted the R&R catering to notify them of the situation and get my $3,000 deposit back, they denied me. I tried to explain multiple times that this was out of our control... we had no idea our venue would foreclose. Every time I called or emailed to talk to the staff they were rude and very dismissive.
Essentially they pocketed our $3,000, which included a tasting and booking the date. I offered to pay for the tasting fee and inconveniences, but they kept saying that was not possible. I feel they could have worked with us, given our situation and choose not to.

All and all I would NOT recommend this company!!

Working with R&R was one of the highlights of wedding planning! My now husband and I had an absolute blast putting our wedding menu together, and everything was incredibly delicious! We definitely felt like royalty, and our guests had very positive things to say about the food as well!

We are very happy with our decision to hire R&R to do the catering for our July 30, 2016 wedding.
The first event designer/sales associate we were assigned to was not very responsive. A couple of times it took her 1-2 months to reply to my emails. When I asked for a new point of contact, I was paired with Rachael who is absolutely delightful to work with. She is super responsive, helpful and personable. I never felt like I asked too many questions! She provided lots of helpful input and ideas at the venue walk-through as well. The staff the day of the wedding was very professional and everything went so smooth! And the food was delicious! It was actually much better than the food at the tasting. I would not hesitate recommending R&R catering to others!
