It's my fault: I asked for simple and simple I got. Too simple. They did my hair, all the bridesmaids and MOB. We didn't want anything too fancy or complicated, but in some cases all they did was blowdry hair...I should have been more vocal about introducing elegant ponytails and undercurls for the bridesmaids. Mom was super disappointed...she looked like she does every day, nothing special about her 'do at all. I gave them a picture of what I wanted and it turned out nothing like it. The hairdo wasn't bad, just a little Southern Newscaster-ish (eg: BIG). Also, it looked different from the trial-run we had done a month earlier (I don't expect it to look exactly the same, but this was way different). I felt it was something I could have had a friend do if we had had enough time. Also, she quoted me one price and then charged me more because I had "a lot of hair." The worst, lowest point: she called me when she knew I would be on my honeymoon to chew me out about a bridesmaid's bounced check. As if it was my problem! She should have had guidlines about paying as a group to begin with. But she didn't, and chose to bill us all separately...so, it was none of my business if another client bounced a check. I thought that was really unprofessional and it was the tipping point for service I was already on the fence about.
