We were married here on July 20, 2013. Salvage One was absolutely the perfect venue for our wedding! The majority of our guests came in from out of state and they all raved about what a fun and unique venue we had. As opposed to a venue that has in-house catering, we had to work with an outside vendor for food and rentals for plates, glasses, silverware, etc, but this also gave us more freedom into our menu and what we wanted to serve. Also, we were able to bring in our own alcohol, which saved a lot of money.

Brandy and the rest of the staff were very helpful during the planning process and responded quickly to any questions we had. I highly recommend checking out Salvage One if you are looking for an eclectic venue in Chicago!

Hands down the most unique venue in Chicago! I could not have asked for a better setting for my wedding day! The staff at Salvage One changed over the course of my planning process. The transition between the staff was seamless, but the flexibility and quality of service was not. I was completely sold on the venue because I had attended another wedding at Salvage One less than 2 years ago. So, I reached out for pricing and availability as I started my wedding planning process. I had eliminated Salvage One due to price, but then slowly realized, they had the best price once you added the cost of rentals, lighting, decor, etc... at all other Chicago venues. As my wedding date approached, the more and more I realized every little request I was asking for required additional cost and/or fees. My number one recommendation to brides...while you focus a lot on the set-up and decor for your wedding day, don't forget about the break-down and removal. Salvage One will not allow you to leave anything at the venue past your contracted event time.

We loved the venue from the moment we stepped foot in the door. Unfortunately, these categories don't give us a space to state how unique and special this venue was for our wedding day. We had both our wedding ceremony and reception here. On the day of the wedding, everything was perfect and we couldn't ask for a better place to share our special day with our family and friends. As far as flexibility goes, they are an established venue and really do not need to be flexible. Clients will do whatever they can to make this venue work within Salvage One's hours of operation. Our only piece of advice would be to check your insurance policy before signing it. We had a bit of an issue with some antiques being damaged during our reception, which was very unfortunate! It was not handled in the most professional way and that would be our only complaint about the entire experience.

We loved this venue, as did all of our guests. The only problem was that they screwed up the table arrangement. They had me take the time to decided where I wanted all of the tables depending on how many seats the table holds. My bridesmaids worked it out, but it was a pain....

I just got married at Salvage One on Saturday, 11/20 and I could not have been happier with our venue! Salvage One was the only venue we actually visited in person. I did a fair amount of research on different venues in Chicago and once I came across Salvage One (I had been there once before), I knew it was at the top of our list. It's located in West Town, very close to where we live. It is a huge loft/warehouse that sells vintage furniture, home goods and other architectural pieces. The space is very warm with exposed brick and hardwood floors and tons of interesting things to look at all around. The price is a bit higher than other venues but they supply all furniture for ceremony/reception for up to 175 so there's no need to rent anything. There is also such a beautiful ambiance that you don't need to spend a lot of money on decor. Once we booked the venue, we worked with Sara throughout the planning stages and she was incredibly nice, professional and helpful. We got so many compliments from our guests about what a great and unique venue we chose, highly recommended!
