The food was wonderful. Everyone still raves on about the chocolate fountain. Their dancers are awesome. I cannot say enough about the catering and dancers. Now I do not recommend asking them for a dj service which is via a third party.

I thought these people would be great for as one stop shop for my Hawaiian wedding. I had urged them to come do a walk through of my wedding site because it is in a remote location. after about 2 months of pleading for a site walk, I finally got one person to come, and that was the only person that was not late the day of the wedding. Everyone else from the cooks to the servers to the bartender to the Hawaiian dancers (which were the best thing about this company) were over 2 hours late! The did not bring enough silverware for 3 of my 18 tables and they had to use plastic silverware (very embarrasing). I wish i had only used them for the dancers and hired someone else for the catering.

After much searching, So Cal Events seemed to be the perfect one-stop-shop for our luau reception planning. They handled our catering, rentals, staffing, decorations, and even fire dancers as entertainment.

Post-event, I'd say they were our only vendor who didn't quite live up to expectation.

The Cons...
Several major items in the bid were missing or unexpectedly changed. We didn't even get a bid until the day-of (like you can check Emails while getting your dress on). Where was the chocolate fountain? What happened to the table servers (Half our food & beverages didn't even get passed out to guests)?? Bill, the owner, was difficult to get a hold of and missed our pre-wedding meeting. The food was OK, but again, some big agreed-upon items were missing. Overall, a bit disorganized; we felt like some things were thrown together very last-minute.

The Pros...
Bill hooked us up with a great DJ (Liberty City). His staff was also wonderful. They worked hard to make things look nice, and were very responsive and helpful while we were trying to get all the final details worked out the day-of. It was also kind of entertaining to have the bartender also do the fire dancing ;) OK, so he was probably drunk on booze that should have gone to guests, and he thought a margarita was half tequila, half Rose's lime juice... but whatever.

At the end of the day, especially a stressful wedding day, I'd recommend working with a vendor who charges a little more up front and sticks to the plan precisely.
