I stumbled upon the Springdale Veterans Association banquet hall on a different website and after looking at the hall online I knew I wanted to go and see it. The pictures they had on the website were absolutely beautiful! The hall is pretty large which is great since we're approximating about 200 people. It has a gorgeous wood ceiling with beautiful chandeliers that hang down and rope lighting around the top perimeter of the room. It has an elegant yet rustic look to it with the wooden ceiling and I loved that. After emailing the hall and corresponding with Mark about the pricing and such, we went for a visit and saw it un-decorated. It was my top choice so I contacted one of the 4 caterers you have to choose from when booking with them and she let us come see it with everything decorated for a wedding that day and it was amazing. I emailed Mark later that week and went and put the down payment on our date! Since it's a Veterans Association and not a wedding facility I wasn't picky about whether it took them a few days to get back to me, especially since I was writing emails instead of calling but Mark was extremely friendly and nice and helped walk us through the entire contract before signing it and putting down the deposit.

The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the fact that you had to buy all the alcohol and soft drinks from them since they charge you about 2 to 3 times what you'd pay at the liquor store but it was only $1,000 to book a date and you can choose what liquor you want. So you can have as much or as little alcohol as you want. You also only pay for what was OPENED (plus you get to keep whatever is opened and take it home with you). So if you bought 30 bottles of liquor and only 25 of them were opened you don't have to pay for the others.

Our wedding isn't until October but up until now we've been very happy with choosing Springdale Veterans Association as our reception venue. I'll be sure to re-review after the wedding!

I absolutely loved the hall prior to my wedding. It had beautiful wooden ceilings along with skylights. Perfect size for under 200 people. The environment however is the only thing that I enjoyed with my experience. It was really hard to get ahold of anyone from the hall. The bar bill is confusing, they tell you the cost of some things on a cost sheet, but when I talked to someone he didn't know the costs of anything. Our bar bill was $700 over our limit. No one spoke to me though out the night to make sure I was okay with going over. When I spoke to someone about the bill I was told "believe me your party drank it" It would have been nice if they showed me how they totaled everything up or even showed me the empty bottles. I was just asked to pay it. Our caterer left a ton of food at the end of the night. I was told it was in the refrigerator, but when we went to look it wasn't there. No one reached out to us after the wedding to ask if everything was okay. I was completely upset with them.
