What music genres are in your collection?
50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, Acoustic, Big Band, Classic Rock, Classical, Country, Dance, Folk, Funk, Hip Hop, Jazz, Motown, Oldies, Pop, Punk Rock, R&B, Rock, Soul, Swing, World
Do you have liability insurance?
Describe your DJ style:
We offer a wide variety of styles. We customize everything we do to fit within your style, theme and budget. So tell us what you'd like us to do, and we'll do it.
Is there a limit to the amount of music that can be requested?
Never, the more the merrier! We want to make sure that you and your guests are entertained. We're DJs, not mind readers. Feel free to let us know what music you like, and sometimes more importantly what music you absolutley do not want to hear!
What is your usual attire?
It depends on the type of event, and how formal it is. For casual events we will be dressed in all black. Black pants and a black short sleeve staff shirt that has our logo on the front, and event staff on the back. For formal affairs such as weddings, we will wear all black with a brightly colored tie.
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
Typically this would never happen. As long as it's requested ahead of time we usually always make sure to get the song you need. However, in the extremely rare chance that we can not get your song for you, we will ask if you have it could you please provide it on a cd, or email it to us ahead of time.
How many other DJs do you work with?
We have up to 5 DJs that can be available for your event
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
Our packages are listed for up to 4 or 5 hours, which could always be extended. As for a minimum, we don't really have one, we have done events that only lasted one hour. We're not picky on time, if you need music for a half hour, we'll be there!
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
A Must! We feel it's extremely important for our clients to meet with the DJ to discuss details, and make plans so that your event is run smooth with no interuption. That way you can enjoy your reception while we do the work.
Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?
We don't really specialize in these types of events, but are always willing to learn new customs and styles. We have done several Bar/Bat Mitzvahs but that's as ethnic as we've gotten and some polish weddings, but that's as ethnic as we've ever gotten.
Can the client submit a do-not-play list?
Absolutely, sometimes the do not playlist is more important than the actual request list. If you don't want to hear a song, make sure we know it!
Do you bring your own equipment?
Of course. We use only the best in sound and lighting equipment, and would never want to jeapordize our performance by showing up and using equipment that we've never worked with before.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
We have all kinds of lighitng to accent both your dance floor, and the entire room. We can also provide sound systems that range from a guest list of 50 to 50,000 of your closest friends.
How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
We usually require 1 1/2 - 2 hours depending on the setup. If it's an extremely large setup we may require more time. If the venue has a table for us to use that's great. If not we can provide our own. If they want to charge you for an extra table, don't bother, we'll bring ours at no extra charge!
Do you have any extra space requirements?
We usually only require a 10' wide space for our setup. The only time we need extra space is if our setup includes rear projections, then we need at least 15' of backstage area space.
Do you have a sign or banner that you use at events?
We do have a front facade that has our logo displayed on it, but we only use that for promotional events or large community events. If we are doing a wedding we are there for you. Our basic display comes with a flatscreen monitor that displays the bride and grooms name, not ours.
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
We will make any announcements you wish, and be as interactive or non interactive as you'd like us to be. We don't usually talk between songs unless important announcements need to be made. We like to keep the music going and the energy flowing!
How would you motivate the crowd if no one is dancing?
usally a line dance of some kind gets people on the dancefloor relatively easy. If that doesn't work we will play a couple of slow songs to get couples on the dancefloor, and ease everyone into the more fun upbeat dances.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
We do ask that if there is a meal being provided to the guests, please provide one for our DJ. We do not take breaks. If our DJ is provided with a meal, he will eat while the guests are eating, and have a dinner music playlist running while he takes a few moments to eat. Our DJ will eat close by the system so if there is anything needed he can still help out.
Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?
As mentioned above, the only "break" is while they are eating, and yes, music will continue to play seemlessly
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
In the past 10 years we have never had this happen, however if the person you booked becomes unavailable we have up to 4 other DJs on our staff that will jump in and take over.
Do you book yourself for more than one event in a day?
That depends a lot on the type of event and what time the 1st event is booked for. Typically for a wedding or mitzvah we will only do 1 a day so that we can use that whole day to focus on you. If it's a smaller event like a birthday party we can do one during the day and one at night for each available DJ
What is your overtime rate?
We typically charge $100 per hour overtime, but it also depends on if we have just a DJ, a DJ and MC, or dancers (we do not book dancers for weddings). Basically it depends on how many staff members we have out on your event
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
If you are within a 50 mile radius travel is on us! Anything outside of that radius we charge for milage and, if needed, hotel accomidations
What is the required deposit to secure your services?
We require a 50% deposit and a signed contract to reserve our services for your date and time.

This company is great the owner Brett Friedman is amazing. We meet him through a friend thats a neighbor. He did my wedding even though he does not do them as a favor. He worked with my Polish band at my wedidng. They did wonderful working together Brett really took charge that day with the band since they actaully meant on the wedding night. He also provide the best service possible with lighting and music everyone had a good time. He also did my wedding video and provided the equipement for it. The video was increditable I was not expecting it to be that beautiful and wonderful. I am so happy we used this company everyone is great and the prices are reasonable.
