For years I have wanted Chef Raphael Jurkovic and his team at Tapenade to cater my wedding (pre-engagement, I had been to two weddings he had catered before). Once engaged, we immediately called Raphael to book the date even before the venue. He is amazing. My now husband and I are true food lovers and Raphael created a most exquisite culinary experience blending both French and Italian delights. From the first meeting to follow up one on one's with his assistant, Lynne, we developed a fun, stress free, and delicious relationship. Raphael brought in the entire kitchen and cooked his aunt's paella recipe, beef bourguignon served in martini glasses, antipasti and European cheese boards, crab cakes, asparagus wrapped in proscuitto, arugula salad and grilled eggplants rolled with mozzarella and roasted peppers. Three months later - guests are still talking about the incredible food at our wedding. Raphael is an absolute artist, a calm-cool businessman, a true chef, and a friend.
