When we were planning our wedding, I emailed several dozen reception sites. Tarrywile came up on the list and my fiancee first went to see it without me. She came back and was completely sold on the site. She loved the people she met and absolutely fell in love with the building. The grounds were wonderful, the Victorian-style mansion was exactly what she wanted, and the huge veranda was perfect. The site only holds up to around 100 people if you choose a full sit-down meal (more for a cocktail reception, or if you rent some tents I believe), but we only had 90 guests so that worked out great. I wish there was more space for dancing (the huge hallway is great but was a little crowded as we were so close to the maximum). The only hitch was that some paperwork was mixed up and the site opened an hour and a half late, taking away half of the set-up time the caterer had asked for. The caterer said that in the 10 years he's been working with Tarrywile, that's the first time he's EVER had an issue so I think it was really just a rare hiccup. Truly a beautiful location that couldn't be more perfect for a small wedding.
