Karen creates the most beautiful floral arrangements! She really did an exceptional job on my flowers for my recent wedding in Beaver Creek! She turned my vision into reality, and brought me the most BEAUTIFUL flowers and I couldn't have been happier in choosing her as my florist! Whenever I had a concern or question, she would return my call as soon as she could, and that was very important to me during this whole process. Thank you Karen!

Karen made my floral visions a reality and everything turned out even better than I imagined! All I wanted were peonies and despite multiple florists telling me I couldn't have them in January, Karen made it happen and they were gorgeous- I cried when I saw my bouquet! She worked with my budget and was open to my ideas for reusing pieces. My only complaint is her formatting for the contract wasn't very clear. A simple spreadsheet with a breakdown of prices would be much easier to read. Other than that, I would still recommend her and was beyond impressed with the final result!

Karen from the Garden Path in a word is AMAZING! We love her just like family and will definitely use her again - not just for weddings, but any occasion! Her flowers were incredible and her unique ability to really "get to know you" is fantastic. Everything was far beyond what I could have imagined. Use the Garden Path for your next event!

The flowers were gorgeous. But what we had discussed at our meeting was not was delivered. The flowers were the same, but not the colors or the combinations. What was delivered was gorgeous and amazing. But I didn't get a throw away bouquet so I wasn't able to do the bouquet toss at the end of the evening which was a disappointment. If you decide to use Garden Path, I would suggest constantly following up on everything that was discussed so that everyone is on the same page.

Our contracts with Brides are made in a post-consult proposal on paper. we are available to our brides throughout the planning stage, and offer to make any changes up to two weeks prior to the wedding, and do a comprehensive finalizing one week before the date. we update any changes we need regarding flower availability and current market pricing.

I was very disappointed with the flowers on the day of my wedding. When I first met with this vendor, I pointed out pictures of what I wanted for my centerpieces and thought that we were on the same page. The notes she took were hand written and later we transferred to a typed e-mail that was very general and didn't go into detail about exactly which flowers would be used. Later when it got closer to my wedding date, I was reviewing with her one more time what the flowers would be. At this time I discovered that she wasn't including the main flower that I had requested for my centerpieces and she now wanted to increase the charge of my flowers to include the flower that I had thought was already being used. Plus we had to change another flower in the centerpieces because of the vases I provided and this additional cost was find with me. However on the day of my wedding, the flowers I had paid extra for were still included in the centerpieces at all. If you go with this vendor, make sure that you get every flower that will be included in the displays listed out in writing and view a put together example of the centerpieces before your big day to ensure it is the vision you are going for.



In response to Karen's comments that were added:

Karen: Monique and I met several times before her wedding. A relative had created the most beautiful art pieces for her centerpieces. However, her request to use gladiolas in them were not achievable, and we met in person with one of the pieces to make adjustments.
My response: Karen is correct in that we were not able to accommodate the gladiolas (which Karen called the funeral flower) in the vases that I provided. We did agree to different flowers and I was fine with the additional costs to the flowers to be able to include the orchids instead of gladiolas. However my issue was I didn't get what I paid for. There were no orchids in my centerpieces and also no white roses which I had also paid more for.

Karen: The replacement flowers of orchids, roses and hydrangeas were more expensive than her original choice, hence the increase in price.
My Response: I knew that the orchids would be an additional cost and that is why I had avoided them from the start. However I had mentioned from day one that I wanted ivory/white roses to be in the centerpieces. My dress' train was covered in roses and so I wanted that to be the main flower through out. It was suppose to be Victorian and instead I got wildflowers and farm house style.

Karen: We consulted in person regarding this and she approved the cost. In addition, she had an opportunity to see her flowers the day of her wedding, she was at my shop 4 hours ahead, but chose not to come in.
My Response: I of course approved the cost because at that point it was a week before my wedding and I had no other choice but to continue with Karen. I did ask to view the flowers ahead of time and was urged to not do so by Karen because she said "It's bad luck to see the flowers before the wedding. Just be surprised!" I was concerned and wanted to check her work and she insisted that it was a horrible idea. Unfortunately one of my larger vases had broken and so I had to replace it with one of the smaller ones just before the wedding. I tried to stop by the shop three different times before the wedding and each time the shop was closed in the middle of the day. I finally was able to get the final vase to Karen the day of the wedding and that is when I tired to see the flowers and I was denied access to them. Since it was my wedding day and I was in a hurry, I left my flowers to fate and was clearly disappointed.

Karen: I am surprised and disappointed that she has not contacted me personally regarding her dissatisfaction, we strive for excellence at all levels and have since 1982.
My Response: I tried several times to contact Karen once I was back from my honeymoon and I was unable to reach her. She did not return my calls and did not respond to my e-mails. The only response I have had from her has been this post on wedding wire that she made.



The fact of the matter is...I paid for orchids and ivory roses in my flowers and I didn't get them. The pictures that I showed her were ignored and the look I was going for was not achieved. Flowers are flowers and of course they were still pretty. How can a flower not be? But 'I' knew that the flowers were not what I paid for. I am a pretty level headed person and I have posted mostly great reviews for future brides to review. I am not trying to be vindictive. I am only trying to warn future brides of the experience that I had with Karen and her flowers.

Karen is the best florist and wedding planner around! Our flowers were gorgeous, our decorations were gorgeous, and she was SO helpful!! We met with her twice before the wedding, and each time we had changed our minds on something, and Karen accommodated us! She helped with our guestbook, our unity candles, our jingle bells (which we used as a send off), and even served as our wedding coordinator! She did a spectacular job not only with our flowers and decorations, but she led our rehearsal and kept everything running smoothly. She kept the wedding day on schedule and she even dealt with the problems that arose at the wedding. I can't say enough good things about Karen and The Garden Path. We will be using her for ALL our florist needs!
