Brides be warned! I am honestly shocked at how high a rating other brides gave the venue. The only good thing about this venue is that the mansion is beautiful, so you barely need to decorate at all; the food is catered by red rock catering and it was delicious; and the staff that worked the event- the waiters/waitresses/bar staff only were very courteous.
The bad- In the beginning we had Kellie as our coordinator, then in January when attempting to email Kellie, I got an undeliverable message so I had to email another gal, Kim. Kim stated Kellie no longer worked there! Apparently Kellie gave her notice last November and no one notified us! You would think I deserve to know as soon as possible when this kind of thing happens, after all I am the paying customer.I was later assigned to a new lady, Kelsee. The coordination of my event appeared to be good on the outside. Kelsee agreed to all of my requests. She then told me there would be a different lady the day of event named Nicole who I would meet at my rehearsal walk through. I meet Nicole who THEN tells me I will have another different coordinator the day of the wedding between 10am-2pm, Nicole would not arrive until 2pm. Now on my wedding package I was quote for one coordinator, I would not be so mad that I got 3 if it weren't for the fact that these 3 people did not communicate at all with each other. Everything I told Kelsee I had to repeat to the other 2 people. When I got there, all the things that I asked for from Kelsee were not there, the table layout was wrong eventhough I personally modified the table layout and emailed to Kelsee stating that I expected the tables to look my pdf document and they STILL did it wrong. Plus wrong table cloths& missing pieces of centerpiece. I also made a wedding madlibs for the tables, Kelsee stated staff would not throw away anything we brought, but before you know it, the staff threw them away! I do not recommend this place unless you're just looking for good food.

Amazing job by everyone there! We had a luncheon after the ceremony and the reception there with food also provided by Red Rock. Amazing food, amazing staff, and the coordinator there was incredible! When a drink splashed into my wife's dress, she personally cleaned the spill off. On top of never having to worry about anything, they made for a great location. We still get comments about how great they were to host our large reception.

The event venue was beautiful and exactly what we wanted. The service leading up to the wedding was great, Kelsey and Jodie (before Kelsey) did a great job. The day of the wedding I was disappointed when we were let into the facility 40 minutes later than we were told. In addition, tables were not set up appropriately/or how it was discussed with Kelsey. At some point communication seemed to be lost. I was also disappointed with some of the service, especially at the end of the evening when packing up our left over dessert. Boxes that our bakery used to bring them to the Chateau were already in the garbage and gone. This made it difficult to transport our dessert home. Not to mention our cake topper disappeared. Although, these incidences occurred the venue is still beautiful and the food was great. I would recommend it for that reason, but I would encourage future customers to communicate well on what you want.

I had a very unique experience, hence my rating their professionalism a 2. With two months until my wedding, they lost several staff members and didn't really communicate this change to me. Overall, the venue is absolutely gorgeous. The food definitely came through in the end despite our unique food request (we served pizza and cheese fries among other things). Overall, I still think I would have held my wedding at Chateau Rive, just wish I would have been told upfront about the transitions that they were going through.

For all the high reviews and the amount of money spent at the Glover Mansion I would expect better communication, customer service, and professionalism. I did not have a good experience and I would not recommend having an event/wedding here or any location that this management owns. I paid too much for the lack of service and doing a lot of the work myself before, and during the wedding. After the wedding it has been extremely hard to get a hold of anyone.
My first contact with the Glover was with Kellie Hoy, their planning coordinator. I booked with her in June and signed contracts to use the Glover for my February wedding and rehearsal dinner as well as Red Rock Catering. We did tastings with her and planned the layouts of the wedding and the timeline.
I touched base with Kellie in early November before the holiday craziness and we decided to meet after the holidays. At the end of December I tried to get in contact with Kellie but she wasn’t responding, so I emailed Amy who had contacted me about catering. Amy and I set up a meeting in mid January for the three of us. A few days before our meeting is when Amy informed me that Kellie no longer worked for Glover Mansion. Come to find out that Kellie had put in her resignation in November and no one gave us the decency of notifying us. So a month before my wedding and everything I have worked on has to be re-assessed. The meeting mid January was long and frustrating because the Glover was missing a lot of details and plans we had previously decided on.
The wedding overall went well because of my high organization, timelines, and layouts. Even though I was paying for a coordinator they were pretty much useless. My day of coordinator did not dress very professional and she was constantly hard to find for my family and me. We had to continually ask for things that were already on our contract and timeline. Because of the lack of service I was not able to relax as much as I would have liked to at my wedding.

The Glover Mansion was FLAWLESS! Everything was so wonderful, Brittney was our day of coordinator and she made sure that everything was set up correctly and on time. The mansion was a beautiful place to get ready at and take pictures. We had our ceremony at Holy Trinity but we still took full advantage of all that Glover had to offer. My friends and guests are STILL raving about how good the food was. We did salmon, chicken, and prime rib. The great thing was that there was no setup/tear down needed from my family so they could simply enjoy the day. I would get married to my husband again if it meant we could come back to Glover :)

We used Red Rock Catering for our wedding in October 2014 at Chateau Rive (a venue in Spokane also owned by Glover Mansion and the catering company).

We had a HORRIBLE experience with our contact for the venue and the catering services. She was very disrespectful, unprofessional and made us feel bad for our decisions to have a plated dinner and bring in our own alcohol.

The inconsistency in price and overall information provided was insane. We were told different prices on different occasions. For example, we were told that the corkage fee only applied to people over 21. The quotes given on a plated dinner varied for no reason and when we requested the breakdown of costs we were given more inaccurate information and then made to feel stupid for wanting to know where our money was going.

The catering staff was nice and attentive, but we had a few problems. When my husband went to the bar (late in the evening) to order the signature drink she said she had no idea what that was. It was not only on the sign at the bar, but it was the groom's signature drink and the groom had to tell her how to make it. We were disappointed because clearly all night she had no idea what the bride and groom's drinks were.

Also, a huge disappointment and frustration was that over half of our guests did not receive any cake because the staff did not cut or serve the sheet cake in the back! The sheet cake was expensive and was intended so that all of our guests would get cake. We came to find the next day that everyone we talked to did not get cake and the sheet cake was never touched. It is embarrassing for us as the hosts because that was the only dessert being served and at least 70 guests did not get cake. There was not even an acknowledgment or an apology for the mistake after the event.

The food was fine, but the experience leading up to our wedding was HORRIBLE. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!
