the quality of hospitality of their managerial customer service Is Such a disappointment! It is sad to recall our unfortunate experience especially considering the reputation it holds. outside of the wedding and reception itself (which was AMAZING), the hotel service was insulting. to hit some points: housekeeping came in several times without knocking, my husband's grooms gift was missing from the grooms room- later found in lost and found 48 hours later (luckily my husband had worn his watch to the ceremony)- due to this our wedding night and day after was consumed with filling reports with security, our room itself was 2 hours late, table overlays for the reception were never placed even though florist confirmed they were delivered, unauthorized charges (about $5,000) on credit card, more than half of our wedding cake was left and was not offered to be boxed, and to top everything off PILLS were found in our guests popcorn from their candy bar!We have addressed some concerns and have yet to hear anything regards to how they may want to make up for these big, uncalled for actions! I can not believe they are taking all of these issues so lightly! Just considering the entering into rooms without knocking- I could've been completely naked!And, Most especially the liability held with the pills found within the zebra popcorn! Ingrid was the front desk manager, and in my opinion needs additional training on how to treat and work with their guests. Many times she had become defensive and slightly argumentative when I came to her with these issues! After all was said and done, another manger gave us roughly $30 off our room-- felt insulted especially since we had spent THOUSANDS! We were promised an extra voucher for Sunday brunch and lunch and we have yet to see it.

The Mission Inn is a beautiful venue to get married. Truthfully, the beauty is solely what makes it so worthwhile. This is a tough review to write. For the venue location itself, the MI is BEAUTIFUL. Unparalleled views and photo ops. Seriously, there is nothing aesthetically wrong with this place. If you want to book here, I'd HIGHLY recommend also having an outside wedding coordinator, because the wedding offices at the MI have no idea how to coordinate anything. I wish I was exaggerating. Just had my wedding on 9/26/14, and here are the major 10 things that went wrong:

1. In our contract, I was supposed to get the "bridal suite" to get ready in. Night of the rehearsal dinner, I was told another wedding had already booked it and they could give me a conference room to get ready in. No. Way. They eventually booked me in a hotel room to get ready in, which would have been great if not for the fact that MI staff and two guests walked in on me getting ready and accused me of being in wrong room. Then they walked in on my wife as she was getting ready, without knocking or anything. I wish that was all. They eventually moved our stuff from room 318 to room 325 during our reception and in the process lost (or threw away, or stole) several items from us.

2. We paid for an "enhancement package" that never arrived and were supposed to pay for parking for our guests but the MI charged them anyway.

3. The day of the wedding, we had to track down security to get into our reception room to set up, our cake was wrong, and the lighting crew didn't have our information on file.

4. Finally, my wife couldn't walk down the aisle with her father, even after the MI assured us the night prior that she could. She found out seconds before she was going to walk out that they wouldn't both fit.

All in all, the MI is a wedding factory. They churn out more weddings than they can handle. Frankly, I doubt they could even handle one.

This was a stunning place and we loved bringing all of our friends and family there for our wedding. Everyone absolutely enjoyed the venue and is dying to go back. Working with them was a bit difficult and disorganized and as bride and groom that was a bit tough however eventually everything worked out and we had a beautiful ceremony. They were not flexible at all on price and sometimes hard to get a hold of which is why I did not give them 5 stars however the place itself is something more dreamy than your wildest dream.

Such a gorgeous venue! Everyone raved on how beautiful it was.... Everything went beautifully and it all looked stunning. I would say my only complaint is that they tend to have a lot of strict rules and regulations you can't go around. One thing that bothered me is that the DJ couldn't turn up the volume because the hotel had too many "noise complaints". They should add some type of lining in the room to take care of that because for someone who spends a lot of money on the venue that is not something you want to hear! They also charge you if you use an outside vendor which is a bit over the top but we worked it out. Other than that it was marvelous. The hotel itself is so accomodating and the staff is wonderful! They went out of their way to help us many times. Troy the guest relations manager was great at taking care of issues immediately. Rosanna, the director of catering, was great on the wedding day and day after in making things happen:) Beautiful Venue!

Thank you so much Mission Inn. We have been coming here for getaways for years and finally had our wedding here. Everyone here made it so easy--the dj (Main Event Productions), florist (International Flower Loft) and photographer (T.K. Photography) they suggested were all fantastic and did their jobs without causing us stress. The wedding planners Amber and Anderson handled everything extremely well. The baker made an absolutely beautiful (and delicious) cake and the food and service at the ceremony and reception were exceptional. The technical people made the Spanish Gallery as beautiful as we wanted it to be. The best part was introducing this great place to all of our friends from all over the country. Everyone was blown away and some, even locals, had never been there before. Also, special mention to Kristien the concierge who handled all our guests and their plans with great energy--as always.

I am so happy with my wedding at the Mission Inn. The only thing I wish was that I had gone over timing of the ceremony better, but that was my fault. I tried not to get stressed as it was pouring rain that weekend, but the expert staff quickly moved awnings in and out of the way as needed. Which is no small task. We had a great day. It went by SO fast. Our pictures were fantastic. How could they not be with such an amazing back drop? We keep getting compliments on how good the food was. Everyone expected typical wedding food and were blown away with how great everything tasted. With all the excitement, I was unable to eat much at the wedding, so our lovely caterer gave us dinners to go to eat after the wedding. That was great and so relaxing. If we had to do it all over again, we would still choose Mission Inn.
