The Latin Connection puts the “A” in FIESTA! With over 30 years combined experience in this ensemble, they can easily perform anything from Salsa to Swing, Motown to Merengue, Cumbias to Country, or Rock to Rhumba.

This group has it all. Comprised of Grammy nominated musicians, the quality and versatility of their musicianship is incomparable.

Ask about special theme parties, shows, and add Salsa or Line dance lessons for a “flare” that will leave a lasting impression on your guests!

This ensemble can be booked from a 5 piece to a 10 piece orchestra, according to your budget and specifications.

Two things your guests will never forget—the menu and the music!

Mariachi, A grand entrance or a grand finale is accentuated by the celebrating sounds of a six piece Mariachi. It isn’t about size, it’s about textured sound!

But if you’re insisting on making a statement at your event, by all means, a 10 piece Mariachi is what you need.

For ambiance and a romantic evening, consider a trio of troubadours that will unobtrusively entertain your guests.

Include a couple of colorful Folkloric Dancers to heighten the impact of Mariachi.

There’s nothing like a San Antonio tradition to add a little culture and spice! Call for availability and pricing.

Latin Playerz Lead by award winning percussionist, Henry Brun, The Latin Playerz have been touring and performing for more than 15 years. This nine piece ensemble is dynamic and has been the orchestra for several television shows.
The budget minded client can expect the same intensity and talent from a smaller version of this group. Though their specialty is Jazz / Latin Jazz, their versatility and repertoire is extensive. Read less

If you want a one stop shop for different musicians/bands throughout an event and you want mostly Latin music played, then this may be the band for you.

Unfortunately, we had a negative experience, which was exacerbated by the response we received to our feedback. We booked with Henry a year before our wedding (Feb 2013), after getting multiple calls because he had another offer and being told we needed to decide within a day. We didn't talk with Henry or Judi again until November, when we tried to schedule a time to meet (we were from out of town and were coming in for the holidays). We had tried to schedule something on the phone, but we were told they were too busy with Fiesta and other bookings.

Our meeting with Judi regarding our plans went ok, although she was a little scattered due to not having her glasses. We had two main requests that we gave - our first dance song and a couples song. The band didn't know either, but we had been told by Henry that they could learn them. Judi didn't give us that confidence as the band was on break.

The two weeks leading up to the wedding, we could not get a response from Henry or Judi on whether our first dance song would be performed. Stressful!

At the wedding, we also ran into a few challenges:
- Judi introduced the MOH and Best Man as the Bride and Groom (never correctly identified them)
-The band played at least 25% Latin music in the first two sets (we had asked for 5%). Our wedding planner went up and requested no more Latin music at least 3 times.
-The mother/son dance that was discussed in our meeting (to allow the groom to also dance with his grandmothers) wasn't carried out correctly
-The couples dance was pushed back much later than our original schedule, causing the groom's grandparents to miss it (they were the reason we wanted to do it)

Overall, it was a frustrating experience. While the band is talented, it did not seem very customized to what we were looking for.

Judi was very professional and her band is fantastic. They are well worth the extra cost when comparing their services to a dj. They can play a variety of music. They play to the crowd and take requests. They always responded to my questions and the whole booking process was very easy.

Dislikes: I specifically said no tejano, conjunto or rock en espanol. The dancefloor cleared as soon as it was played. I seriously doubt anyone requested it, and I was upset when it was played. I also booked an acoustic guitarist for the ceremony. I wanted the "here comes the bride" song for my entrance and he played some other song that lasted forever! My husband and I were waiting at the altar for like 1 whole minute (which seems like a lifetime in that moment) Everyone commented, "What was up with the guitartist?" My advice, is have Judi write your wishes down.
