We are the Only facility where 250- 480 people have Total Exclusive use of The Mansion. We held our ceremony and reception at Di Nardo’s mansion. At the beginning of the ceremony, a specific music was to be played when the bride walked down the aisle and stopped at a specific time. The music was never stopped and the bride and groom had to wait starring at the guests, until the sister of the bride finally went to see why the music was not stopped. After the ceremony the bride and groom were looking for the event coordinator whom they had discussed in great details of what was to take place rest of the night. When the event coordinator was nowhere to be found, the floor manager finally came and introduced himself after being told by the sister of the bride to go meet the bridal party as we were panicking in the bridal suite. We were under the impression that the event coordinator was to attend the event since she was the one we were dealing with and had knowledge of the program, unfortunately we were unable to locate her nor the owner of the hall" .

Unfortunately, we had never met this floor manager and Although we had never met him, we had thought that he would at least have some idea of the program, however after asking him a few questions it became clear through his inadequate answers that he had almost no knowledge of the program as the event coordinator whom we discussed everything in great details on the multiple times we sat down with her, phone conversations, texts messages and emails. An important piece of the cake was dropped off at the venue the morning of the wedding by the groom and groomsmen to the event coordinator, who was there that morning. When the sister of the bride went into the hall before the start of the reception, to make sure everything was ready, noticed this piece was missing. When we asked the floor manager for the piece, he had no idea what we were talking about. Him searching for the piece delayed the start of the reception by approxiamately 20 minutes. When we arrived inside the hall we noticed the wines were not placed on the table and champagne was not on the cake table as discussed with the event coordinator who went home sick. We had to ask one of our sisters to ask the servers to bring out the wine and champagne. By the time the wine starting coming to the tables, the speech for the toast was already done and the guests did not receive Champagne. Food was spilled on one of the guests, and was not cleaned up until approximately 20-30minutes after. The floor manager was not aware of when to serve the food, which again our event coordinator knew. As we were getting ready to finally enter the reception hall, the floor managers came and ask how to set up the wedding favors. We had to explain this to him, causing us the delay our reception; these were things which were discussed with the event coordinator. Being sick happens, however both parties that we were dealing with since day one regarding every small details of our wedding were not there. We were never made aware of their absence until we were looking for them. This random person came to us, someone whom we never met, nor sat down with saying he will be in charge of our wedding. The owner met the bride at the start of the ceremony, where he could have mentioned that he will be going home to change or that the event coordinator had gone home sick. In fact the owner never came back for the remainder of the night. although the manager was present it had felt as if we were coordinating the whole wedding ourselves along with guest, we were extremely disappointed on our special day".

I caution any bride considering the Mansion. My fiance and I live in Europe but are from the Barrie area. We booked the Mansion for our wedding in May. We are in the country for a limited time and have been so frustred with the service at the Manson that we have been forced to cancel our reception with them due to a breach in contact, 5 months prior to our wedding date. They suprised us with hidden costs after signing our initial contract ( hook in fees ect...). These were not quoted in our initial contract. We scheduled a tasting while we were in the country over the holidays and no one even showed up to our scheduled tasting appointment. We were asked to pay for our tasting on top of our 13,000 wedding contract. Our wedding planner has had an incredibly difficult time even getting responses back from the staff at the Mansion to answer simple logisitcal questions. Clearly couples are just a pay check to this company, thier lack of professionalism and customer service is shocking. Please don't make the same mistake we did. The Mansion is not professinally equipt to deliver a reliable service on one of the biggest days of your life.

The Mansion foyer was perfect for our ceremony. At the time, my future wife to be, walking down the curved staircase which took my breath away. There were many areas where our photographer was able to captured memorable moments. The reception and entire dinning areas was made available which was very spacious for all our guests. There were ample menus available. Our dinner was delicious, plentiful, and catered to all our guests special needs. The staff were all courteous and attentive. Thank you Kathy for having the decor consultant decorate the tables and backdrop. Thank you for seeing our wedding went smoothly, it was wonderful.

We'd like to thank Cathy and her team for a wonderful experience! We were married at the Mansion in September 2014 and it was a lovely venue for our special day. The meal was excellent and the staff went above and beyond to make sure our guests had a great time. Cathy was great! We had our wedding at the Mansion Events Centre in August 2014. Throughout our interactions with Cathy, she was very professional and accommodating to our needs and desires and also provided that ‘family’ atmosphere. During the wedding, Cathy and her staff were very good and friendly to our guests! My Mother-in-law described it best when she said that Cathy was great in checking in on things with us while staying in the background at the same time. She would make sure that everything was on track without making herself noticeable and allowed the real focus to be on us and the wedding!
The hall decor was stunning. During planning, it is hard to picture everything when you’re picking a backdrop and linens from photos, or looking at five similar napkins, but we were blown away when we walked into the hall for our entry (this was our first look at our decorated hall). We had spot lights and wall wash LED lighting ordered through the in-house DJ (Good Vibrations), and also ordered the floor-to-ceiling backdrop with uplighting through The Mansion. The linens and setup looked sharp and the detail of head table was a pleasant surprise complete with silver ‘bling’ to hold the accent sashes onto the tables.
There was a slight hiccup the day before the wedding regarding the serving times for our semi-deluxe bar (which we paid extra for). The issue was resolved promptly and serves as a reminder for anyone planning any event to clarify all details as contracts are developed.
We would recommend the Mansion Events Centre to anyone that is looking for a venue that will treat you like family.
