The Oaks was made for weddings. The style of your wedding is limited only by your imagination. The Oaks Waterfront Inn along with its grounds become a private preserve for you, your wedding party and your guests on the evening before, the day of and the morning after your wedding celebration.

This was a fantastic venue for a wedding. During the planning stages, Tracey George, the wedding planner from The Oaks, helped with giving us suggestions of names of vendors that were also great.
During the weekend, everything was perfect except the weather. Rain came a half hour before the ceremony but Tracey had her staff move chairs, wipe them dry and the ceremony was on the boat dock. It was still beautiful. Everyone remained calm and was very professional. They even moved the arch and flowers.
The food for the rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour and reception was nothing but exceptional. They had no problems with any dietary restrictions and it was seamless.
I have heard of nothing but great remarks about the wedding. I would highly recommend The Oaks for a wedding. I can't think of anything that I would have changed about the weekend. Tracey George was very calm, organized and made the wedding a day we will never forget.

We had our wedding here in early May 2015, and I cannot think of anything that went wrong or could have been better, other than lasting a few more hours. The day went great, the venue is beautiful, the schedule went smoothly, and our guests LOVED it! From the start Tracey and the team at the Oaks made our planning a breeze, and helped us make those unexpected decisions (like hotels, pet sitters, babysitters). Fast forward to our wedding weekend, and the day we arrived at the Oaks, all of our decor and supplies were quickly organized, and no longer a worry or thought in our minds. The team at the Oaks has the experience to make the day amazing! On the day of, we could not have asked for a more perfect day, from having all of our friends and family already at the venue, to having a great time at the reception,and ending the night with shuttles to Carpenters, everything was just wonderful! The food at the cocktail hour and reception were to die for - our guests are still talking about how amazing it was! My husband and I were married here on April 18, 2015. We had the best experience and would highly recommend The Oaks! Our entire wedding party and some of our family stayed at the Inn for the whole weekend as well. On Saturday the guys played corn hole and shuffle board while the girls were getting ready in the cottage. Other guests that were there got to hang out by the water and some even went in the canoes. It was such a fun and relaxing environment from start to finish. Our reception was beautiful, from the cocktail hour by the water to the inside area for dinner and dancing, everything was perfect. We even had late night fun in the living room with our family and friends, you truly feel like your at home.Somehow we were blessed with the best weather all weekend which made it even better. The entire staff was so helpful and easy to work with, especially Tracey, Sandy and the owners. They thought of things before I even asked and it was done, they know exactly what to do to make your event easy, fun and worry free. Also, the food was AMAZING, we loved everything!! It has been two months since my daughter's marriage at the Oaks and we are still basking in the afterglow of the perfect wedding. It is hard to describe all the ways that make the Oaks the ideal setting. Less than an hour and a half from Baltimore and DC, the Inn and grounds are breathtakingly beautiful, just the right combination of rustic and elegant. We chose to have family and friends stay for both nights in the Inn, and that became ours to use as our private residence, with the staff returning each morning to prepare a full gourmet breakfast.
The town of St. Michaels is charming and quaint, just minutes from the Oaks, with wonderful restaurants, a winery (and brewery), waterfront inns and beautiful B and B’s. The Oaks also provides complimentary shuttle service before and after the ceremony which worked perfectly for our guests. The staff at the Oaks was just outstanding. The wedding coordinator, Tracey, guided us with ease and humor through the planning process. She was extraordinary in every way, somehow making us feel we were the only family planning a wedding. She had excellent suggestions for vendors, including DJ, florist, bakery, and hair and make-up. In such a small town, it felt like the whole community was working together. They all knew each other and worked together so well, they were all enthusiastically supporting us. To a person, they were caring, warm, and kind.
Looking back, the weekend seemed almost magical, too good to be true. The atmosphere was joyful throughout and the staff got every detail right. I know they were working hard, but the atmosphere was relaxed and they made it look easy – the mark of true professionals. The guests are still raving about the excellent food, the beautiful setting, the charm of the Oaks, and the responsive staff. This is truly the perfect setting for your dream wedding.

The Oaks is an exceptionally special and wonderful place. First, the location is gorgeous - a beautiful, charming inn right on the water with several great options for ceremony sites. I actually started crying the first time we visited because I was so happy we found the perfect place to get married! (I'm not usually a crier.)

We got married on the dock, then came in for cocktails and dinner and it was wonderful to have everything in one place. The food is amazing - we had crab cakes and filet for dinner which were delicious. One of the most special parts about getting married here was that we had the entire place for just our friends and family for the entire weekend. We got married on a Saturday, and we had friends and family occupy all 13 rooms for Friday and Saturday nights. Rates are reasonable and breakfast is included for both days, so we were able to have breakfast on Saturday and Sunday after the wedding with all of our guests. It was so nice to have more than just one night to spend with the wonderful people who were there to celebrate.

Best of all, Tracey George is part of package! She is their on site wedding coordinator and she is a total pro. She has been organizing weddings at the Oaks for years and has things down to a science. She recommended great local vendors for us, took care of so many details, and truly made the planning and wedding seamless. Tracey is a gem and a pleasure to work with.

I should add that we visited the Oaks in January of 2015 for the first time, and they only had one Saturday open (April 4) between then and November 2015. My (now) husband and I loved it so much we booked it the same day even though it meant getting married a few months earlier than planned. The fact that it was still a perfect event, despite just 3 months of planning, is a true testament to Tracey and the entire Oaks staff who did a superb job. So many people have said it was the best wedding they've ever been too. I'm still smiling.

My wife and I simply can't say enough wonderful things about The Oaks, Tracey, and the entire staff. From the moment we stepped on to the property, we felt at ease and that everything was going to be taken care of and it was. Tracey did such a wonderful job taking care of every single detail and making sure that our day was beyond perfect. My mom brought a lot of decorations and other personal touches and Tracey took the time to go over with my mom where we wanted everything. When we walked down that aisle and into that reception room, everything was exactly how we imagined it and we didn't have to do any of it. We picked The Oaks because the venue itself offers something that no other venue does: a weekend exclusively for our bridal parties all staying in the same place. And that to us was priceless and it made the entire wedding that much more special. But we ended up getting that special weekend and so much more.

My beautiful wife and I had our wedding weekend at The Oaks on October 25th, 2014. Every part of the process from our initial visit, through the months of planning, and the entire wedding weekend was flawless. We had a wedding of 150 people with about 60 at our rehearsal dinner which was also held at The Oaks. Tracey, the on-site wedding guru at The Oaks, was absolutely spectacular. She had an answer for every question we had in the 14 months leading up to the wedding, helped us work through some of the harder decisions, and kept all of our friends and family in line so my wife and I could focus on each other and enjoying the weekend. The food at The Oaks lives up to all of the previous reviews you will see on here. We received so many compliments that the steaks were all cooked perfectly and the crab cakes were some of the best people have had....which is high praise coming from a bunch of Marylanders!

The Oaks was able to direct us to excellent vendors for our flowers, photo booth, and DJ and they were all equally impressive. It was so great having the entire venue to ourselves from Friday to Sunday, which is something a lot of places just don't offer. It really made it OUR weekend and we were free to enjoy it with just our friends and family. The Oaks as a whole was perfect and we couldn't imagine having our wedding anywhere else.

My daughter needed to get married quickly due to her Marine husband being transferred to Florida. We had 4 months to get everything together. Tracey at the Oaks was so helpful and accommodating. She was so helpful with emails and reminders to help keep me on track. I knew what was needed when and she made everything go so smoothly the day of the wedding. Because of her the day not only went on without a hitch but it went so smoothly that id didn't seem to fly by. We were able to enjoy every minute to this special day.

We have been told by many how beautiful the entire day was. My parents have gone to many weddings including 8 other grandchildren. They have repeatedly told me that this was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to.

The Oaks was a dream locations. It was absolutely gorgeous, easy to get to, and the people working there are amazing. Tracy would always send a friendly reminder when something we needed to complete was coming up. She really kept us on track through the entire planning process which was so helpful because our minds were in a million different places. The day of the wedding she made sure we were on time and on track. She would notify not only my husband and I of when the next event was happening (cake cutting, ect.) but she would also notify our parents to ensure they were there to witness it. As for the venue itself, it had an open outside area for the ceremony, a covered outside area in case of a little rain, and an indoor option in case the weather was terrible. I never had to question if I would be able to have my wedding at this gorgeous location. I would highly recommend the Oaks! They make you their priority and ensure that your special day goes on without a hitch.

She would notify not only my husband and I of when the next event was happening (cake cutting, ect.) but she would also notify our parents to ensure they were there to witness it. As for the venue itself, it had an open outside area for the ceremony, a covered outside area in case of a little rain, and an indoor option in case the weather was terrible. I never had to question if I would be able to have my wedding at this gorgeous location. I would highly recommend the Oaks! They make you their priority and ensure that your special day goes on without a hitch. Read less
