Quality of Service
I am almost 6 feet tall and struggled to find dresses that were long enough that didn't take 6 months to get. I stumbled upon the Purple Cupcake on ebay. I visited the website and was pleased with what I saw. I met with Dorothy and started working on a dress design. I sent her several magazine clippings with detailed descriptions regarding what I liked about the design. I also did a sketch of the front & back of the dress as I envisioned. She sounded confident that she could get it done. I was under the impression that she was the seamstress. She is not. That was not a problem, until I saw my dress. The lady that made the dress was off on the design by a long shot and the dress was way too big. I was so excited, and really close to the wedding, I didn't mind the things that couldn't be changed. Dorothy changed what she could and was very accommodating about all the things. After I picked up the dress and had my bridals done, I looked at the dress and noticed that one of the pleats had come undone. She said she could fix it and to call her to make sure she was available. I called her and never got her on the line. I ended up fixing it myself! The beading was beautiful, but VERY loose. I had several areas where the beads were hanging off the dress. It was terribly tacky, but she said that it was all connected and not to cut any of the ivory thread. I just had to make due. The WORST part was that my bustle broke within the first 15 minutes. We tried everything to get it to hold but it kept coming undone. I had to carry around my train the entire night!! After all this, when I took the dress off after the wedding, two of the large, black, obvious pearl buttons were missing off the back. I can't believe I walked around like that all night. Instead of feeling beautiful, I felt trashy. I wish I would have bit the bullet and worn a too short dress.

I was very disappointed with the services provided by The Purple Cupcake. They provided my floral services. The centerpieces were poorly done, with huge holes where missing flowers were supposed to be. The bouquets were small and the flowers were wilted. The groom and groomsmen actually had to help with the set up prior to the ceremony because the florist showed up late. Overall it was embarrassing and frustrating that I had been in contact with the florist for 8 months prior to the wedding and so many things were left undone or done very poorly. I would NOT recommend The Purple Cupcake for floral services.
