We were married on the first floor of Three Three Three and had the reception on the second floor. It is a great venue, and perfect for a DIY wedding. Be careful when you book: There is a base price, but be prepared to pay extra for required fees like security, valet, elevator attendant, etc. We were able to have everything exactly as we wanted it, from the band, flowers, place settings, catering, etc. instead of having to go with vendors provided by the venue. They were extremely accommodating about letting us drop of items the day before and have them picked up the following Monday, even though our "day of" with the venue was only from 12pm-12am on our wedding day. That ended up being a huge lifesaver. We also hired Kaylah to coordinate our wedding and she was great, responding to every email in under 24 hours, usually within a few hours.

I will say this to brides: If you want a cozy "getting ready" experience, e.g. sipping champagne on comfortable chairs in a place with lots of light and space, don't get ready at the venue. I didn't mind getting ready there so that the photographer could be there, and the bathroom lighting was fine, but there isn't a specifically designated "bridal suite."

When I first visited Three Three Three I could see the potential and from that point on I knew it'd be hard for me to find another venue that would provide me the canvas like this space would. We had a fairly large wedding with around 230 people and the ability to use both the downstairs space, for the ceremony and cocktail hour, and upstairs for reception was such a big selling point for us. And the guests loved how it flowed the night of! Working with Kaylah was wonderful. She was always quick to respond and very helpful with providing options and ideas. You are able to do so much in the space it really can become what you want it to be. It was on the higher end of the price spectrum for venues I looked at BUT with the rental comes 25 tables, 25 linens (in a plethora of color options) and 250 chairs...plus we could bring in our own alcohol and caterer which helped us on the budget. Beyond that, Kaylah coordinated any additional rentals we had, she set up valet and security, and everything was set and ready for us before the rehearsal on Friday evening. If you are looking for a unique space in Dallas that has a cool loft feeling, I highly recommend checking this space out. It was absolutely perfect for us and our guests haven't stopped talking about it!

333 First Avenue: What a unique place for a wedding reception! The loft style and big windows that overlook downtown gave the atmosphere that we were looking for. With the help of Kaylah, we secured the date quickly and communication was great throughout the entire wedding planning process. Kaylah was great to work with and always just a phone call away. The open lobby area offered a great cocktail reception area and the upstairs had a fantastic layout for our large reception. The windows offered a great view and as evening fell, the downtown lights were a great backdrop for the cake cutting and dancing. It is a bare canvas but the possiblities are enormous with what a planner/events vendor can do. The lighting/table decor/florals/music/catering all added the perfect touches to this Loft area. Loved the huge elevator; had a great attendant who made sure everyone had a grand time during the short ride up. Security was fantastic; valet was very adequate and the overall evening was perfect. Acoustics were very good; and plenty of room for dancing. Many of our guests complemented us on the selection of this venue; found it very trendy and comfortable; not the typical ballroom reception. 333 First Avenue has a style of its own; for the couple who wants a memorable evening; this is the place for you!

My husband and I picked Three Three Three because we wanted something that was a little different. (In other words, no ballrooms or a country club.) It's great for couples who want to work with a blank canvas - but work then becomes the operative word. Because of the high loft ceilings and industrial materials in the space, it takes a lot of care and details to make it feel more appropriate for a wedding. I ended up throwing out a lot of ideas I'd had at the last minute because I didn't want to spend extra money (like patio stringed lights, candles for the window sills, or throw pillows for the lounge chairs) or deal with the extra stress (creating personlized signs for tables, stations, etc). In hindsight, I should have done those things because the details make an enormous difference in that space. If you have a wedding planner before the big day, however, it's all pretty easy to delegate.

Three Three Three is also a little bit more work because you have to rent everything (tables, chairs, china, linens, etc.) on top of bringing in outside alcohol. Catering companies can usually order all of the rentals, and can also provide bar tenders and mixers and whatnot. But, if you have a wedding planner, this isn't really a hassle. If you don't have a wedding planner, just be ready to do a little bit more work. Not hiring wedding planner on the day, however, is almost not an option. You have to have someone there running the ship.

I think the venue is a little overpriced, especially given that they don't provide anything. (This is a competitive advantage of hotels and clubs in Dallas - the room fees can usually be applied to food or additional rentals.) That being said, there are few venues in Dallas that offer the same atmosphere - which is modern and vintage, contemporary and rustic at the same time. If I had to do it over again, I'd probably still chose this venue, but I would put in the extra effort in the last leg of the planning process.
