We had our wedding at the resort, instead of exchanging our nuptials in our hometown of Washington, D.C. My parents live in Tucson, AZ, and a while ago, I treated my fiance' to lunch at the Stable's Restaurant, at the resort. He fell in love with the place. The grounds are indeed very lovely and tranquil. When he asked me to marry him, he picked the venue - Tubac Golf Resort! From my vantage point, I knew there were going to be many moving parts, (some complicated) in order to pull off a destination wedding. I called Nora, the resorts wedding coordinator, to get things going. She was very responsive! For six months, Nora, responded to every phone call and email either my fiancé or I sent. When I flew into Arizona for the tasting, Nora ensured her calendar was clear. She was friendly, professional, prepared, and very accommodating. Nora also suggested several cost-saving ceremony and reception ideas, and still managed to preserve our elegant wedding theme.

On our special day, Nora ensured the day was executed with seamless precision. Everything went off with a glitch! Our guests raved about the outstanding service, the delicious food, the rooms (Casitas and Haciendas), and the DJ (Luke, from Satyr Entertainment). Our post-wedding brunch with family the next day was another excellent idea Nora suggested. Our families greeted my hubby and myself, with a continuation of love and celebration. Thanks to Nora's insight, we were able to spend quality time with family prior to everyone flying back to their hometowns.

My husband and I are more than pleased with the way the vision of our special day evolved into a magnificent weekend reality. Nora worked extremely hard to make it happen!
Debi, the resort's Sales and Catering Coordinator, did an outstanding job as well. The two are a dynamic dual.

We recently held our ceremony and reception at the Tubac Golf Resort and Spa and it was wonderful. First and foremost Nora Miller was wonderful to work with. She was dedicated to making our vision a reality and was there every step of the way. She was helpful, responsive, and was always there with a great suggestion or to simply put our minds ease. On the wedding day itself she not only helped to ensure that everything was set and running just right, but she officiated our ceremony, took us and our photographer around the property to get take pictures in the best locations, and when it unexpectedly started to rain during cocktail hour she pulled together her team to move our entire reception indoors at the last minute. It was quite a feat and Nora did it all with a smile. She was kind, and beyond professional.

The venue itself is stunning and so unique. The chapel is such a gem and all of our guests were floored by the beauty. The food was incredible and everything was cooked to perfection. Even the scallops, which are difficult to cook correctly for a single serving, were perfectly prepared for all 130 guests. Our guests are still raving about their meals weeks later. The cocktails were fantastic and the servers were top notch. Our wedding was truly a wonderful experience. Between the venue, the food, the outstanding service from Nora and her team and our awesome band, our wedding was everything we could have hoped for. Even rain and a change in reception venue were not enough to ruin our day.

We would highly recommend the Tubac Golf Resort and Spa. It truly is one of a kind. Planning will be easy and fun, your wedding day will be incredible, and you will provide your guests with a very unique experience that they will never forget.

We originally met with Melissa Knight (the previous wedding planner) who seemed very sweet and capable. The services were then switched over to Nora Miller due to Melissa relocating.

Nora seemed like a huge step down from Melissa and continued to be a let down throughout our time working with her. She has a passive aggressive, condescending, and pretentious attitude on top of being completely inadequate at properly planning a wedding. With all of the experience she claims to have, it did not show. My husband and I are very casual, laid back people and so are our family and friends. On the day of our wedding, we had multiple friends and family comment on "the wedding planner" and her abrasiveness. This was both embarrassing as well as unacceptable.

With that being said, our wedding was truly beautiful. The venue and reception were perfect and the price was reasonable. So I suppose the choice is up to you... I recommend the venue, but unfortunately I do not recommend the wedding planner.

My husband and I opted for a destination wedding and The Tubac Golf Resort and Spa was the perfect spot for us and our closest family and friends.

We had the amazing pleasure of working with Nora Miller for the 9 months leading up to our special day and we can say that without her help and support (and the occassional Mimosa), our wedding would not have been the same. Because we are 1000 miles away Nora went the extra mile to assist in taking dresses to the dry cleaners, picking up items for our wedding favors and literaly using her office as a storage unit! She never said, "No" to us and had amazing suggestions to help us pull off the event we were dreaming of.

Nora is a true professional in every sense of the word. She feels what the bride and groom are feeling and knows when to step in and take control. She made us laugh along the way and has become someone we can call a friend!

Our wedding went off without a hitch! Many laughs, and many stories to tell for years to come. We are already talking about a 5 year vow renewal, in Tubac of course, and we could only be so lucky to have Nora by our side to help with all of the planning!

Thank you Nora...you are the best!

My wedding was an absolute dream come true at Tubac Golf Resort and Spa. Not only was the venue so unbelievably gorgeous, the wedding planner was amazing. My day was truly flawless and I owe a lot of that to Nora Miller, the wonderful planner. She was there every step of the way to make sure everything was taken care of and running smoothly. It was so nice to enjoy the best day of my life with my friends and family and not have to worry about a thing. Nora handled everything and made sure that everything I wanted was there and was executed with perfection. The food, drinks, DJ, Cake, flowers, linens, etc were all more than I could have ever imagined. I used most of the vendors that Nora recommended and I have no regrets! I would recommend this venue and wedding planner to everyone. It was a dream come true to have such a beautiful and fun wedding! Thank you to Tubac and Nora for making my dream come true :)

Nora at the Tubac Golf Resort was an AMAZING wedding planner. Not only did she respond to countless emails and questions but she understood exactly what I wanted and put me at ease every time I was about to loose it! Every request I made, she made happen and she made sure everything happened on time. I loved working with her, she has a lot of experience with weddings and is very professional! The resort is beautiful and we had a great time there and have zero complaints. Virginia, was also great, she managed my fireworks and she did a great job! I am very happy I had my wedding at the Tubac Golf resort, my guests were very happy and enjoyed every moment of it! Thanks Tubac Golf Resort, and Thanks to Nora, Virgina, for making my day so special!

We loved getting married here! The location was breathtaking and all of our guests remarked how much they loved and enjoyed their time here. It felt like another world, only 40 minutes outside of Tucson! The food was delicious and everything looked beautiful. Our only complaint was that the hotel staff treated us like "normal guests" we had very little extra touches from the staff to make us feel special about it being our wedding weekend. All in all, if you are looking for a gorgeous, unique, and special spot, then we recomend Tubac Golf resort. The cute town of tubac is a great perk.

We had a wedding weekend here with 70 people...It was PERFECT!!! The people at the resort are so friendly and willing to help with anything. The chapel, food, staff, atmosphere were all amazing!!! Melissa was my wedding planner and I felt like she was a good friend! We had the hacienda close to the chapel and I was able to walk to the chapel after everybody was in the church! Many people said it was the best wedding weekend they had ever had! many of our guests asked if we could go back for a reunion! People swam, played golf, and went to the spa the day of the wedding. There are restaurants where you eat outside with beautiful views ...so relaxing!

The Tubac Golf and Spa Resort is a gorgeous, all-inclusive wedding location. Having the chapel, reception and rooms all in walking distance was a huge plus as well. It really made the wedding more of a weekend event than just one night. Being able to golf during the day and visit different restaurants in the unique town of Tubac and at the resort was also a plus. There was such a sense of community and no one had to drive home at the end of the night. The wedding chapel is picturesque, the mountain views are breath taking, and the resort itself represents Arizona so well with it's Spanish and South Western influences. I love the history of the place we well! The food was the best wedding food I think I've ever had and the Tubac crew was fine with the reception going an hour over (ending at 1 am instead of midnight). The wedding room rates were also very affordable. The event planner was hard to get a hold of at times but was very enthusiastic and helpful over-all. She was very willing to go above and beyond. The wedding coordinator the day of the event was amazing! Such a sweet and helpful lady. You can tell her heart is really in this. The biggest downside I would say is the pricing. You have to use there catering and wine priced, which are resort prices that can be over-the-top if you have a large wedding. I believe most locations, however, have this same problem. I suppose it is the price you pay for the convenience and the great location. Over all, Tubac is a great wedding location and is the perfect mix of nice and elegant without being over the top and stuffy :)

If you are in the Tucson area, this is an amazing venue. We were planning our wedding from out of town but Melissa (the wedding planner that the venue provides) was amazing at keeping us on track and informed of any changes or any options we had. She was full of helpful suggestions and creative ideas. She really made the wedding planning easier for us and was so incredibly flexible. We were still changing things 3 days before our wedding and she was able to accommodate us.

They are a little spendy but have many different menu & alcohol options to help bring down the cost. Also they are comparable to other resorts in the area. If you chose to have your wedding there you don't have to worry about getting a caterer because the caterer is onsite and the food is absolutely delicious. You can't go wrong with any of the food options.

The scenery is unmatched. The golf course is absolutely stunning and the chapel is simple but beautiful as well. There are many spots for photo opportunities. It was the wedding of my dreams and it was all thanks to the Tubac resort & their wonderful staff.

Words cannot fully describe the beauty of Tubac Golf Resort and Spa. This venue is perfect for wedding festivities, as everything is right there: picturesque scenery, accommodations, chapel, dining, and ballroom. Melissa Knight, the wedding and event specialist, is very easy to work with and made it such an enjoyable experience. She and her assistant made sure everything was picture perfect and ran like clockwork. As the mother of the bride, I appreciate that we were left with such beautiful memories. We received so many comments on the venues itself, as well as all the food, from the rehearsal to the reception. I would highly recommend this venue. Thank you Melissa!

Melisa Knight at Tubac Resort was wonderful to work with. Because my husband's father was terminally ill we had to rush the wedding and we had only 5 weeks to plan everything. Also, we were planning the entire thing long distance and we were not at all familiar with the area. Melissa was terrific- she provided us with outstanding recommendations for every detail we needed for the wedding, including contact information. During the planning phase Melissa asked me a lot of questions about details that I would have overlooked completely. She was very detail oriented, professional, and responsive. When we got to Tubac I was thrilled with how beautiful and elegant the resort was- its often hard to tell from photos. The food at the resort restaurant was excellent and the suite we were in was big and very comfortable. On the day of the wedding, Melissa and her assistant, Angelica, were so attentive I just don't know what I would have done without them. We had an early evening ceremony outside in the shade of the trees, with the mountains in the background. It was beautiful and romantic, and the wedding photos look fantastic in that setting. The reception in the Otero House was elegant and intimate. The food and service at the reception were excellent, and Melissa was there to make sure everything was going smoothly. I am so thrilled that I ended up having the wedding of my dreams. Tubac was definitely the right choice! We really had a fabulous destination wedding. My husband and I decided to spend Thanksgiving at the Tubac Resort this year- we can't wait to go back!

We could not have asked for a better wedding day! Everything came out exactly how we had planned it and everyone commented on how amazing the venue is. Everything about the location is gorgeous and unique! I said multiple times around the wedding, that I wouldn't have been able to do it without Melissa (Tubac's wedding coordinator). I trusted her completely to take care of everything, and I didn't have to worry about a thing the day-of. She went out of her way to make sure we were able to get what we wanted within our budget, and to make sure that I was happy with everything. We could not be happier about the experience!

It is sad to me that I will be the one giving Tubac the lowest rating ever, and it is probably the lowest review I personally will ever give unfortunately. Our experiences were clearly different from others.
It is difficult for me to find the proper place to start but I figure I will go back to where our dissatisfaction with Tubac Golf Resort began. When we initially looked into Tubac as a choice of venue, we headed up there thinking it would be just one of my many options but quickly changed our mind when we first met Melissa- she was polite, efficient, and made us feel comfortable in ending our search because she seemed so competent and eager to build us the "wedding of our dreams". Within a week or two of communicating back and forth for pricing, meal selections and such, we had a deal and boy were we excited! While we were there I mentioned that my dream wedding would be in an outdoor wedding canopy/tent and she said that she could definitely make that happen. She showed us no more than two options for placement of this tent- one was just to the North of the restaurant behind what looks like a large house but she told us that it would have to end at 10pm due to home owners, etc.; that option would not work for us since we knew we would want to have an event that lasted until midnight, so she showed us the other option which was on the driving range. She mentioned that bathrooms may be a hassle and we might have to rent them but we could look into options for this. Never once did she show any other choices or possibilities of where we might place the tent, and the following two times we met with her, this exact place on the driving range is where we walked out to in order to discuss setup and take another look at the beautiful scenery around where our tent would be. She also brought up the idea of having a cocktail hour for our guests which we loved and chose to do. Cocktail hour was to be held in front of the "Cantina" or in front of the Golf shop; during our final meeting with Melissa a couple of weeks before the wedding she confirmed a few things for us- one of them being that we would have access to restrooms and did not need to rent portables, and one being the location of cocktail hour- we chose the area in front of the golf shop since that is where she specifically recommended to us based on the flat surface, shading, etc. We chose the area she recommended in front of the golf shop and bought decor to hang from the trees, etc.

Forward to the day before our wedding, May 18th, we called Melissa to let her know we were there and that we needed to unload a truck of decor, etc. at the tent. She told my husband to drive to the front office and she would be right there to meet us. After waiting for over 20-30 minutes in a hot truck with 3 of our bridal party waiting with us, we decided to find our way there, so we drove to a drive labeled for deliveries and we realized this was probably not the right one so we parked again and called her; she once again said she would be right over. After waiting another 15 minutes I decided to leave the guys waiting for Melissa and my Maid of Honor and I left walking to the tent since we had just about an hour to be at our rehearsal luncheon that was not on property. Much to my surprise, the tent was off in the corner against a cow pen. We immediately were upset because we knew that this meant it was that much further to the restrooms for our guests. I was at a tipping point of stress so I chose to grin and bear it. Melissa and the guys finally arrived about 10 minutes later and I did not even mention the tent location to her because I had become accustomed to being told why I was wrong. From the moment I booked with Tubac, she knew we wanted a tent outside and told us if that was our dream she would make it happen. After she had our contract, she tried multiple times to change our mind and move us inside the banquet room, including the day before our wedding while standing inside our tent since it was windy, and she loudly told her banquet captain that the chef was "going to have a fit" since he had to plate dinners in the wind. This was not something she needed to loudly make sure I heard which added to my stress. Keep in mind, this was Friday afternoon around 2pm, our wedding was the next day at 6 pm and the weather showed very light breezes at most for the 19th which ended up being the case. She told me that I had to order at least 70 ft. more of tent walls to block the wind and I asked if she knew where I could get that from at this point and she quickly mouthed off the number for ME to call and arrange, never offering to do it for me or assuring my peace of mind in any way- unprofessional and inappropriate. We ended up paying at least $100 more for walls to be brought up for the tent and never even had to use them. On several occasions, myself and my family, friends, and wedding planner caught her eye-rolling and clearly whispering and laughing at different points throughout the day before and day-of the wedding. I am not a wedding planner or banquet manager but I absolutely know the very basics of customer service and professionalism in dealing with people planning one of the biggest events in their lifetime. The entire reason we chose Tubac was to fulfill the dream of an outdoor tent in a beautiful setting and NOT to be indoors at a banquet hall or we would have chosen from the dozens of other options available to us much closer to home, mush less expensive, and with much better service to the client. Unfortunately, sometimes the amount you spend does not correlate with the service or outcome. Our planner, family and friends all pitched in until around midnight the night before the wedding to get the look exactly where we wanted it, and thank goodness, it was stunning!

Cocktail hour was supposed to be on the flat surfaced, and shaded lawn in front of the golf shop from 5-6 pm with our Spanish guitarist and tree decorations, and again, much to my dismay, when we rounded the corner at 530 pm after wrapping up photos with our amazing photographers, cocktail hour was set in the middle of a hilly spot on the golf course in direct sun and 93 degree heat!!! We were floored! Our guitarist was out playing for an hour and we felt so terrible for him, he was thirsty and burning up! There were no more than 3 pool-like umbrellas covering just the servers who were stationed at the food and drinks; all of our guests were made to stand on the uneven course in direct sun. The elders in our families nearly suffered heat strokes and everyone was SO HOT that they ended up heading into the tent around 530pm- way before the planned time of 6pm when it would have been ready with place-cards, etc. The food was hot and unappetizing in the sun, and we were so upset... ON our wedding day! We felt terrible for all of our red-faced and sweaty guests and our Grandparents and guitarist. We did not get to use the decor that we purchased to hang from the trees, nor did we get ANY positive feedback on our cocktail hour which we were so excited to do. This may be one of our biggest disappointments of all. Again, unacceptable. When our planner called to tell Melissa that the tent was set in the wrong place, she was told that " they were never promised the driving range" but that she only said she "would inquire". This is ridiculous! As I mentioned in the beginning, we were only shown two options and chose the second based on time we could end the festivities- whether or not she "promised" this is irrelevant, she led us to believe this was the area it would be and all planning was based off of that, as well as with the cocktail hour. She actually showed us the areas and had us choose then set them both in entirely different, inconvenient, and inappropriate areas. The way this was done speaks for itself, it makes no sense to place 150 guests in 93 degree direct sun with no breeze for a cocktail hour and expect it to be enjoyable; even an amateur planner would know this! Being that everyone had to head into the tent early to escape the heat and direct sun, the place cards that took so much time and care and money were not set and therefore guests were unsure of where to sit and meal selections were unclear so serving the food was not an easy or smooth task for the servers.

Another aspect of our issues was in the rooming situations. Many of our guests had trouble booking their rooms under our wedding block; they were told there were no discounts for our wedding, they were told that there were only 2 rooms or 1 room left on several occasions, and many of them received different rates- there was no consistency whatsoever. One of the last things that we should have had to worry about or intervene in during our stressful planning was the satisfaction of our guests and their ease of booking, and never should it be acceptable for them to be told the amount of rooms left or that "oh, there are only two more rooms available!" which would only leave them worried about other friends or family who had not yet booked and then frantically call me to ask why the rooms are totally booked 2-3 months out. On this note, one of my guests who drove from San Diego (as many of our guests did) arrived late on Friday night at 10pm only to walk into the room they booked and specifically requested 2 queen beds for only had one king bed. They returned to the front desk and mentioned the mix-up, they were told the resort was at 100% capacity and they did not have the queen beds that were confirmed for months; at one point early on due to all of the confusion and misinformation, I even requested a reservations list from Melissa so that I could take charge of yet another aspect that should be handled seamlessly in a high end resort such as the Tubac Golf Resort. This list confirms that they booked a "PosadaQQ" which is 2 queen beds. Our guests then asked for a cot at the very least, and were told there are no cots but that they could have "some blankets". This is absolutely unacceptable! The front desk had no solution or options other than some blankets so in order to not sleep on cold and hard tile floors while on their vacation here, 3 of them shared the king bed and one went to the pool and brought in a lawn chair to sleep on with a blanket. We were embarrassed and I apologized to them when I heard of this while getting ready on the morning of my wedding. I don't imagine that this is something I would be proud if this were my resort, and it is just one of the sour impressions some of our guests left with. I believe they ended up being partially comped for the mistake after speaking with a manager.
As far as our room goes, we have photographs of belly-up roaches in the bathroom (3 of them in the middle of the floor) and an ant infested room. This was our bridal suite where we were to spend our first night together. Our sheets were unchanged and the room was a mess when we returned late at night- the trashes were all full from getting ready in the room that morning in a rush. We were given a bottle of Sparkling wine and chocolate strawberries which I assume were from the resort, and we appreciated the kind gesture but did not eat them since roaches and ants were freely roaming about and they were not covered.

Wedding night- while my pregnant Maid of honor was walking to the restroom that was a good hike, her and her husband came across a golf cart that two of the gentlemen servers were driving and had crashed and gotten stuck somewhere on the golf course. Her husband went to help them get their cart out of where it was stuck and he saw that they had beer bottles in their cart (the resort later said that there were bottles in the cart because our guests were drinking as they were being driven to the restroom and then leaving bottles in the cart, this particular cart was NOT the cart being used to transport guests to restrooms). We can only assume that this alcohol came out of our hosted bar, and our groomsmen all pitched in to host another thousand dollars since it was just past sundown at the point where we were told it had run out. At one point, my maid of honor walked with me to order a drink from the bar- my first and only trip to the bar that night, and encountered another very drunk bartender/server. I ordered a vodka tonic, and he served us two giant glasses, not shots, of tequila and spilled it on our hands when handing it over while telling me to take the shot...this was in front of my Mother who was very uncomfortable with his behavior toward me and we were all three confused as to how this guy was so drunk while serving my guests. After I had walked away, again not wanting my wedding mood to be spoiled, my maid of honor went back to talk with him, she told him he should simply leave since he was not putting himself in a good situation to which he said "Is the bride mad at me? Don't tell on me, I'm just going to leave", and apparently he left altogether. I also understand that this person must have been intoxicated while on the job on our dime as well.

The following morning, my Father's Honda generator (worth at least $1,200) was mysteriously missing. When we asked about it, no one seemed to know what happened to it but Stefan told us that "someone said they saw some groomsmen taking some cords and maybe the generator after the party." This statement is vague and false; our groomsmen flew in from Texas and California and did not have vehicles to put this generator in first of all, and second, before the lights were even off, we were in a room with all of our wedding party celebrating and thanking them for everything they did for us. My Father was actually the one to go and collect the electrical cords the next morning, not the night of the wedding. This is when he discovered his generator missing and immediately began calling around and asking where it was placed. He was not happy with this and of course, neither were we, but unfortunately we are not surprised given our experiences with the Tubac Golf Resort. I wish it was possible to have left our valuable items at the end of that very long day and know that they would be safe where we left them.

Finally, we was never told where our top layer of cake would be or that it was being refrigerated for us until we emailed Melissa to ask 3 days later. We even saw her while a large group of us were at breakfast on Sunday morning in the restaurant and she never mentioned that the cake was there, it would have been thoughtful of her to bring it to us and for me not to have to be proactive and ask for every little thing; we did not expect we would have to be in charge of every last detail when holding our wedding at Tubac Golf Resort, we would love to have been catered to and given the attention and care that any patron deserves, especially a bride and groom holding a large and very special event there. I had to ask an Uncle who was going to be in the area if he would drop by and pick it up for us since it is a drive up there for us that is not easy to make during the week.

On our actual wedding day, thanks to all of our friends and family who made it what it was, we had a fantastic time. We expected a much higher level of service and gratitude than what we experienced. Unfortunately, we would never recommend a wedding to anyone who ever inquires as to our experience there, and as I returned to work and was asked by many people how my wedding was I was able to only tell them positive things from what we were in control of... How very sad to me! Everyone I speak to is shocked at the amount of work us and our family had to do to put the event together and mentioned how easy and stress free their events were due to where they held it. Arizona Inn did everything for my cousin that we had to do on our own and she spent less money there and has amazing reviews- we did look into Arizona Inn and to my current disappointment, we chose Tubac. Many of our bridal party and even some guests commented on the attitudes and unprofessional behavior and we know that word spreads quickly. Word of mouth and reputation are everything in business, and superior service and gratitude to your patrons are at it's core.We remember this every day with every interaction we have at work regardless of personal feelings and we would never make an excuse for poor service or treatment.

Sadly my impression of the Tubac Golf Resort with regard to my wedding is already made, however, I can say that most everyone was friendly and made the other parts of our stay great! The front desk is so sweet, the cleaning ladies, maintenance who delivered us an extension cord for my hair stylist, and most of the servers and Stefan were excellent! Stefan went out of his way to fix many shortfalls and I appreciate him so much! The food was delicious and the resort is beautiful as always. We provide these opinions with obvious frustration but also with a level of professionalism as we know what it takes to succeed in this economy, and not only to succeed but to thrive. Hopefully this helps bring positive change and attention to areas in need of improvement.

Feels good to get that out!

Update: Dad's generator "was found" five days later. Apparently someone in maintenance put it in the golf shop for some reason. Clearly "someone said they saw your groomsmen putting it into a truck after the wedding" story was entirely false, but we already knew that.

Read less

Tubac Golf Resort & Spa responded with the following comments:

We very much appreciate you taking the time to write concerning the events leading up to and on your wedding day. We are sorry to read that we failed to meet your expectations in several areas.

It is our goal to consistently provide the highest quality in both product and service and it is vital to our continued success to know when we have fallen short of our own high standards. We were very surprised that Melissa failed you in many areas and you mentioned many times in your review that Melissa was unprofessional. We want you to know that up to this time, Melissa has done an excellent job with all our weddings and this is the first complaint we have received regarding her. Needless to say, we are extremely disappointed to read your review and so we did some investigating.

Tent/Reception area: This was clearly a case of miscommunication on our part and for that we apologize, in the future, we will make sure we have diagrams that are signed off by all parties involved. Melissa felt you both were on the same page regarding placement, but obviously not. The fact your guests were uncomfortable in the hot sun was unacceptable, the reception location should have been moved right away.

I hope you will accept our sincere apology for the disappointments you experienced. Be assured that all individuals involved have been properly counseled on how to avoid similar occurrences in the future.

Again, thank you for taking the time to write. We sincerely hope that you will allow us another opportunity to demonstrate our true level of hospitality for a future visit.

We held our rehearsal (Chapel), dinner (Dos Silos) wedding ceremony (Chapel) and reception (Otero Lawn) at the Tubac Golf Resort. In addition, most of our guests were from out-of -town and spent several nights at the resort. The setting is absoultely unparalleled - green, lush, historic and authentic Arizona.

Melissa Knight, Wedding and Event Manager at the Tubac Golf Resort, is absolutely the best of the best. She was receptive and responsive to our ideas, had great ideas to augment our own, and found ways to make our vision happen.

We chose this venue because we already loved going there for cocktails, dinner and just to hang out.
Melissa worked with the chef to create a custom menu based on selections for dinner. The food was fantastic and our foodie friends are still raving - and even attempted to recreate the wedding menu later for those out of towners who couldn't attend.

Additionally, we can't say enough about the salon and spa staff who made us all beautiful for the big day (hair and makeup) - and had fun doing it!

The resort staff as a whole was also very, very good and responsive. There were a few banquet staff who didn't quite embody Melissa's can-do attitude but overall we had an exceptional wedding that met all of our expectations and Melissa went above and beyond to make it all happen. We we were thrilled with the level of service and value we recieved at the Tubac Golf Resort. We can't wait to go back.

My groom and I could not have selected a better venue than Tubac Golf and Spa. Melissa, the wedding coordinator was beyond helpful in ensuring our day would be perfect. The location created a romantic and beautiful environment. The grounds are lush and green, a far cry from what Arizona is known for, yet the grounds are surrounded with Arizona's beautiful mountain ridges. Tubac Golf and Spa has a magic that can only be experienced when your on the grounds, no photos with do this venue justice. Take a short drive to heaven in Arizona, you won't regret it - the ambiance was felt by all in attendance. Mostly all of our guest never knew such a remarkable placed even existed so close to Tucson. Lastly, unlike other places the rooms on site gave my groom and I the peace of mind, we needed that our guest would remain safe, regardless of how much fun we had at the wedding. If I could do it all over again, I would change some vendors but not Melissa and not Tubac Golf and Spa! Future Brides good luck to you - stay calm because planning a wedding will drive you and your partner crazy......

The venue itself is absolutely beautiful! The wedding chapel, the entire property, the rooms, it is all gorgeous. The food was really good. They assisted us in creating our own menu that was within our budget. We didn't have time for a tasting, but it was all delicious! The staff did a wonderful job setting everything up and helping put up all of our decorations etc. They were all very friendly and acommodating. Melissa helped so much with corrdinating everything and helping with some special requests we had. She was patient and helpful during the planning process over the last year! She made a lot of helpful suggestions and recommendations and it turned out so beautiful! Patreese and the girls in the salon did an amazing job on the hair and makeup for all the girls. It was everything I wanted and dreamed of and was done within our budget!

Absolutely amazing venue for our rehearsal dinner, bonfire and wedding reception. Melissa did a wonderful job as our wedding coordinator and really made everything come together. Since we were planning the wedding long distance we really needed a coordinator that understood us and could calm the stress of both our mothers. Our guests raved about the beauty and the comfort of the resort. We did a bonfire on the property after our rehearsal dinner and it was above and beyond all expectations. Because it is a resort the prices are steep, but worth every penny for the exceptional atmosphere and comfort. Especially loved our wedding suite that came with complimentary chocolate dipped strawberries and champagne. We were looking for a laid back place with some character and history and we found that at the Tubac Resort.

So I must say Tubac Golf Resort was the place that stole our hearts for where we would get married. It's absolutly beautiful out there. We always drove out to Tubac to shop at the festival plaza and for the art/christmas festivals. It only made sense to marry at the resort. They didn't have our wedding date available a year in advance, but we wanted to get married soo bad there we changed our date. Tubac Resort has a beautiful replica of a 1700's spanard church. When we first went out there we met Andy who walked us around and signed us up. She's absolutly wonderful and get things done. Then Andy job became different and they hired this girl Tane who totally was opposite from Andy. Everyone is happy and willing to help at the resort, but for Tane she was like the bad seed outta the whole apple. If we would of met her when we first signed up we probably never would of been married there. She has no personality and made a age discriminatory comment at our dinner tasting. Maybe she just wasn't interested in our wedding. But heck, for what weddings cost these days I don't care who we are at least act happy for us and like your interested in our wedding. She failed to do her job and get a lof of things accomplished for the wedding that were done very last minute. We ended up having to contact the director Dave to get things handled. We loved the venue, the FOOD WAS AWESOME----absoluty gormet mexican food that everyone from the wedding still talks about. The Banquet captain made sure we were absoluty taken care of and the banquet staff was sooo nice. Everything was beautiful, BUT TANE! Advice for Tubac please find a new wedding coordinator. Other than that, thanks Tubac Staff! ;0)

Absolutely AWESOME!. I loved my wedding, wouldn't have changed anything. The staff at Tubac Golf Resort was extremely helpful and very professional through the entire process. I appreciated how they cared about my wedding, not just from a money making stand point, they were always there to assist me and make sure that the day went off without a hitch, which it did. Definitely worth the money, could have paid a lot more somewhere else and gotten a lot less. Awesome in every way.
