Our reception started at 6pm and guests started arriving at 5:30pm. The lobby outside of the reception hall on the 9th floor is not air conditioned so our guests had to wait in an 83 degree area. The Victoria managers would not open the doors nor did they suggest guests to go wait in the cool lobby on the first floor. The doors finally opened at 6:05 pm after my husband asked the Victoria managers, Jennifer and Collette to let guests in. My husband and I had attended 3 weddings at this venue last summer and never experienced this type of warmth. We would have never selected this venue if we knew the AC would be a possible issue. My mother and I both asked Collette to check into the AC several times from 620pm-8pm. She reported back that the room was “as cool as it could get”. Some guests started leaving at 9pm because they were uncomfortable and my husband and I had to apologize on behalf of this venue. At 9:15pm I asked Collette again to check on status on AC. She volunteered to go floor to floor to look for the building engineer as he could not be reached by the front desk. While Collette was gone, a homeless man entered the Penthouse in jeans and a t-shirt. He walked around the tables, passed by the gift table, etc. One of our guests noticed him, escorted him downstairs, and watched him walk across Mannheim Road. I kid you not, the man returned later in the same shirt and shorts! I wish that were the end of this escapade. My husband and parents both contacted Victoria and Holiday Inn Express the Monday following our wedding. We requested a meeting with both parties since Victoria rents the Penthouse space from the HIE. Mario Ferraro (owner of Victoria) and Tom North (GM of HIE-O’Hare) refused to return our phone calls. They collect all your money and turn a blind eye when something goes wrong.

Such an AMAZING venue for an event. The food is amazing and all of our guests were raving about it for days after our wedding! The option to include cake, centerpieces, and so much more into the price of a plate made this venue such a great value and made for a very well put together atmosphere.
The coordinators are so personable and professional. There was so much flexibility fo make sure our wedding reception was exactly how we wanted it!
I would recommend Victoria Rosemont to anyone looking for a beautiful venue that accommodates a large crowd well.

We had our October wedding at Victoria Rosemont and all our guests loved it! The staff made the planning process very easy for us. They made sure they knew what our vision was for our big day and made every effort possible to make it just what we wanted! The day of our wedding the room looked perfect, we had many staff members making sure everything was running smoothly and up to our standards. The food was amazing! Everything was hot and fresh and our guests ordered the night of the wedding so we didn't have to worry about that when we got our RSVPs back and it made it so classy! The day of the wedding a server accidentally knocked a candle off the head table and the wax spilled on my Dad's coat, she apologized and they took his coat and had it cleaned and back to him in 10 mins. They really went above and beyond to make everything perfect!

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Victoria Rosemont this past weekend, on Friday 11/30/12 and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Julie Ryan and Tressa Lotito (and their team) were AMAZING!!! Everything turned out exactly the way we had hoped and the food was beyond delicious....cooked perfectly. All of our guests keep telling us how great of a time they had and how amazing the food was. Julie and Tressa were so flexible and accomodating, and answered all my questions with a "no problem" attitude every time. We truly had an amazing night and we couldn't have pulled it off without Julie and Tressa. Thank you for everything!!!

Depends what type of bride experience you always imagined as a little girl…if you always envisioned an intimate tasting where you’d get to sample a bunch of different menu items and cakes then this is not the banquet hall for you. Instead, they put on a reception-style tasting where all of the couples interested in getting married there gather to taste a few appetizers, all ALL of the menu offerings (from soup to chocolate fondue) and whatever type of cake the venue ordered for the evening. They have a DJ, beer sampling, and raffle off prizes as well. I thoroughly enjoyed both tastings we got to go to, but when I realized that I didn’t get a personalized one-on-one to select my menu or cake, I was a little disappointed.
We worked with Lynn and she was more than accommodating. She worked really hard to try and help me get everything I wanted. The problem was relaying what her and I had agreed upon to the banquet manager who was actually going to be on-site during our reception. When we had our amenities meeting a few days before our wedding, we learned that a few of the items we had contractually agreed upon and/or had multiple lengthy discussions about had not been conveyed to the banquet manager. For the most part, everything was settled and turned out ok. The only thing that didn’t turn out the way we had discussed was the setting up of our centerpieces…we ended up having to go in early that day and set them up ourselves. Luckily my husband had the time to do so, but that’s not exactly something you include on your day-of timeline during the planning process.
Finally, the top layer of the cake…again, this purely just depends on the individual person. If you always dreamed of taking home the top layer of your cake and freezing it for your one year anniversary like tradition tells us we should, then you will be disappointed with this venue. Instead of providing you with the top layer of your cake, they cut/wrap your entire cake for your guests and instead allow you to order a complimentary cake on your one year anniversary. Although the sentiment is not the same, I don’t think it’s a terrible idea to enjoy a fresh piece of wedding cake on your anniversary instead of a one-year old piece…just depends how traditional you are.
All in all, I found it very easy to work with Victoria Banquets. All three of their facilities are gorgeous and unique and we got a ton of compliments about how nice the staff was and how beautiful the room looked. Lynn went above and beyond to make sure I was happy, and I am very grateful for everything she helped me achieve.

Tracey Power & Victoria Rosemont was a dream site come true... It felt like having a friend (a very organized one at that!) coordinating my wedding reception. We had delicious drinks, amazing service, fabulous little Victoria surprises, and TOTALLY made our day.

The number of people that came up to us to tell us "this was AMAZING! I've never had food at a wedding this delicious" ("It's not typical wedding food, but food served at a wedding")

I truly cannot say enough good things about Victoria Rosemont... best idea we had and I don't know that I would have felt another place could come close to comparing! Thank you thank you thank you Tracey!! ;-)

Overall we really liked our venue! The food was great! Many guest have complemented us on our selections. We did a family style service. Being a penthouse it was a nice alternative to the usual banquet hall!

We did have a few issues. The timing of the food service was a bit on the slow side. They did extend our reception for an extra 30 minutes to make up for it.

We were also "scolded" for getting up and walking around to our guests tables between courses and told that was not how they did things there. We would never have thought this would be an issue, but apparenlty they only will serve food if the bride and groom are seated. This was a bit ridiculous to us, since we wanted to be sure to spend time with all of our guests (200pple - it takes awhile to get to all the tables).
