. . . a unique appeal like none other options My Approach:
I’m Pete Black, a Wedding photographer with an appealing, complete and unique service for your Wedding: high quality memories at an affordable $1975 bottom-line cost for 2013, just like last year. I shoot with my digital Canon EOS 5D II 21 megapixel camera and my backups are two more Canon 5D's and a Canon 60D. I typically capture a minimum of 1500 digital shots (more likely lots more) and the new couple gets a minimum of 500 ~ 4x6 prints in two attractive modest albums and all 1500 digitals on DVD’s for reprints and enlargements with no copyright restrictions whatsoever. (I HAVE A FILM ONLY OPTION IF PREFERRED.)

In addition to Wedding day photography coverage, I have 3 additional options for just $100 each:(a) Video coverage (unedited) - DVD, typically 3-4 hours (b) Engagement photoshoot (c) Rehearsal coverage - including pictures there too
If a Couple wished me to be at their rehearsal, I’ll capture lots of pictures there too and get to know family & friends to let them know who I am, and how much I have their interests at heart. (Importantly, I’ll also become familiar with proceedings for the next day!) On the Big Day itself, I will cover the entire Wedding Day’s preparations, including finishing touches with the Bride-to-be and her girls at the beauty salon! I’ll get all the special moments of the Wedding ceremony, including Moms ushered to their seats, Bridesmaids’ processions, the Bride’s entrance, an admiring Groom’s welcome, lighting the unity candle, ring exchanges, vows, that first kiss, and so very much more.
After the Ceremony, I’ll take receiving line pictures and at the Reception, I'll keep going capturing shots of guests signing the register, Bridal party introductions, champagne toasts, cake cutting, friends and couples, candid table shots when the couple makes their rounds, kids’ antics, first dances, garter and bouquet tosses, suprprise and unexpected moments and all that partying late into into the Reception! I’ll stay shooting till the happy Couple drives off into the sunset with tin cans tied to their car’s bumper! I turn out the lights! I have no time limitations!

My Credentials:
I have covered over 450 Weddings in the past 10 years! I started covering Weddings in 1998 in Atlanta, Georgia where I lived at the time, but most have in the Connecticut area since 2002. It’s a work I love and I've been averaging 40-50 Weddings a year on. With no obligation on the part of a couple, I meet to show my Wedding Portfolios, but before that, this on-line link to shutterfly http://weddingbellsphotography.shutterfly.com/ will let you see many more samples of memorable Wedding moments I’ve captured. Just call (860)434-6829 or email me at L5226@hotmail.com to see more or if you have any questions or want to just chat a bit. If you like what you see and hear, we’ll meet & I’ll show even nicer renditions in my portfolios. Computer scans don’t do the originals justice and besides, I feel it’s important for a couple to feel good about the person who captures fleeting images of the biggest day of their lives!

My Fees:
The $1975 fee is tax included with no additional hidden charges. When a Couple decides on my services, I require a $175 deposit, a $700 payment 60 days prior to the Wedding, and the balance when the completed Albums, digital pictures on DVD’s (or negatives) and DVD’s of video (if that option is chosen) are turned over to the new Couple about 10 days after the Wedding. If you wish, I can help with reprints, enlargements, deluxe albums, picture frames, special effects editing and other matters, but remember: all digitals on DVD’s (or negatives) are yours with no copyright restrictions to do the same whenever and wherever and however you choose! Too often, many other Photographers charge $3000 or much more for only a very basic service, no full day coverage, fewer pictures, no CD’s of digitals, no negatives, no copyright relreases, no video option, no rehearsal familiarization option and no engagement photoshoot option, but they might be able to add on some of these features for much higher fees! Many other photographers frown on family & friends taking pictures with the photographer, but I welcome others capturing those same memories with me!

A Final Note:

I tailor my style to what the couple desires and I work within the wishes of the Family and the Pastor or other Officials presiding over the sacred ceremony. I humanize the collection and get the warmth & emotions of the entire day. Whether I am the Photographer you choose or not, thank you for your consideration, and I wish you a beautiful Wedding Day & a lifetime of happiness together! Read less

How many photographers do you work with?
I work alone, but in a high energy non-stop fashion and more like two photographers in one! I have assistants if a Couple prefers.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes! I have never missed a Wedding and I don't intend to ever miss one, but I do have backups.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
I book only ONE Wedding on any single day - it's too important a time for the couple I am serving to dilute my attention that day. I frequenntly do 2 or even 3 Wedding days in a row.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes! I wouldn't ever want to leave a couple without a qualified person to capture memories on one of the biggest days in their lives!
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
(1) Canon 5D Mark II with Canon 580EX flash and Canon 24-70 lens. Yes! See above, and if any photographer doesn't have back-ups, move on! I have never needed them, but I'm ready no matter what!
Do you charge hourly or full day?
Full day, no time limits and I'm totally flexible to be where and when a couple wants me.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
Overtime is not an issue and is certainly not an excuse to charge more! - there is no such term as "overtime" in my Wedding vocabulary!
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
Breaks are for 9-5 jobs, not a part of my Wedding photgraphy work! I'd like to catch a meal sometime to keep my energy high.
Do you charge for travel?
No, not within 75 miles one way.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Ten (10) days later, I deliver everything completed to a Couple . . . not just proofs, but the real package!. Previews of 100 shots are available on-line within 48 hours for the couple's early viewing on their honeymoon!

DVD's with everything, no copyright restrictions. Two modest Albums each containing 200 pictures (4"x6") are turned over to the couple 10 days after the Wedding.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
Permanently . . . ant they are not "proofs" - they are edited and refined prints, It's part of my service.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
NO! Full copyright releases are a part of my service.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
I will ask permission of a couple before doing so, but I do not reserve such rights as any requirement on my part.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes!!! For no additional charge, everything I capture is turned over to the couple with no restrictions or copyrights whatsoever!

Yes, but only for the couple and they can share as they choose without any charges or obligations and they can save such on line files free of charge..
What kind of albums do you offer?
Two modest Albums, each holding 200 4"x6' prints
When will the client get the final album?
Ten (10) days after wedding! Why should it take months as so many of my peers make a Couple wait? What are those other photographers doing?

We were very pleased with all of our vendors but Peter of Wedding Bells Photography was above and beyond anything we could have expected from a photographer.
The quality of his pictures and finished product was unbelievable, just shot after shot where everyone in them looked great. He is passionate about what he does and it comes through in his work.
We don't like being the center of attention or having our pictures taken but Pete put us instantly at ease
and we had a wonderful time spending our day with him instead of feeling awkward because some guy with a camera was following us around all day.
On top of the beautiful printed pictures we got three cd's with about 8,000 shots on them and they came with all the rights to them at no extra charge, which is very rare in the photo biz as we found out.
Peter far exceeded any expectations and I wish that I had more reasons to have a photographer just so we can hire him again.
If you are looking for a photographer you should really meet with Pete and take a look at his work, It is a fantastic product put out by a wonderful person. We really cant say enough nice things about Pete or his work.

I cant even begin to describe how amazing Peter is! From the second we booked him I was floored at everything he wanted to do for us! We had 3 seperate engagment shoots, he came to a friends birthday and took photos and came to our rehearsal and spent from 9am to midnight with us on the day of the wedding! Does any other photographer ever do that?? Well I guess they would if you want to spend a million dollars!
Peters prices are beyond reasonable, you will not find someone else for his price! My wedding was only a week and a half ago and already he has given us two photo albums and a stack of printed pictures along wtih 5 disks of pictures and 2 dvds with video.
Everyone at the wedding has had nice things to say about him and how they felt like he was apart of the family. He made everyone feel very comfortable and we never felt overwhelmed. Actually I dont think I ever saw him during the ceremony but he got great pictures while being incognito!
I am still in shock from the work he did and would recommend him to anyone who asks and will be using him whenever I can in the future!

Peter Black is absolutely wonderful!! He is so kind and generous and has certainly become a part of my family!!! Not at any point was he looking at his watch. As far as he was concerned, he was mine for the day and was still clicking pictures as my new husband and I drove off.

Pete is such a great photographer. Some of the shots he got at the wedding and reception are absolutely priceless. The only thing I wish I had done was given him a list of pictures that I wanted to make sure to get...COMPLETELY my fault! We have 2 DVD's from the 2 cameras he used at the ceremony and reception as well as 3 CD's of pictures. He took mainly digital, which I told him to do, so I could post the pictures online.

2 years after our wedding, I emailed Pete asking him if he still had copies of the CD's of pictures because we couldn't find ours. He made copies of all 3 cd's...at no cost to us!!!!

Pete was a HUGE bargain when we used him. He has increased his prices, and he is STILL well worth it!! He will do an engagement sitting for you as well. Some of the pictures he took of us are so beautiful and I would, and DO, recommend him to any bride who asks for a photographer.
Services Used: Photography, Videography
Pete is absolutely great! We have him booked for the wedding of my son and future daughter - in-law and asked if he did bridal showers. For a very resonable fee he came well before bride/guests arrived and left when we did. along with over 480 digital photos he took a video plus sent out a copy for me and the bride to be. He did mention to to all to grab him at the rehearsal/wedding to take any pictures we want done. Can't wait to see him at rehearsal and wedding... Making my list of photos that I would like taken at wedding.....
