Dan was fantastic! We used the hawk to deliver our wedding bands during the ceremony and he helped us plan everything to get the most out of the experience. We loved it and so did our guests!

This was an amazing part of our ceremony and one we will never forget. We didn't do the doves but we had a falcon deliver our rings. It was a bit more expensive than it probably should be, but it is a very specialized skill you won't find anywhere else. I only knocked down the professionalism and flexability because at the end of the ceremony as we recessed, he stopped us to pose with the falcon and a surprise as well, which was a nice photo oppurtunity but was a little intrusive and halted the ending. We knew there would be a surprise we jsut wish it was done a little less showy, like perhaps out in the receiving room area.

We cannot thank Dan Vitilio enough for his professionalism and expertise with the dove release at our wedding last month. He was truly patient in showing us amateurs how to hold the birds too! The dove release was a total hit, in fact it exceeded our expectations. Our guests were still talking about it for days after the wedding! It truly made our ceremony spiritual, symbolic and unique. We will never forget such an amazing experience!! Thank you, Dan, for making our dreams come true!!

We contracted for the Hawk that delivers rings. If you have the money to spend, it is a very unique treat for the guests, and the special surprise after was also pretty cool.

Although I would do it again, there are a few things I would do differently in hindsight:

1 - MAKE SURE to post someone at the door that will not allow late comers once the rings are asked for! Someone arrived very late to my wedding and the hawk had to course-correct during the flight. I seems this was not made clear to anyone at my venue that guests should be stopped from entering the ceremony area at that time.

2 - Although the agreement was that the trainer would show up at our scheduled rehearsal, I got several phone calls during the week before my wedding trying to "offer" another time. The message I got from the owner was that it was "something special offered to brides at no charge" but really he was trying to lump my flight rehearsal in with other brides. I did not appreciate the multiple calls trying to reschedule after I had made it clear that everyone had varying work schedules and no, there was no other time, and I also didn't appreciate that his desire to make it more convenient for him and not me was presented as a "special deal" for me when it was most certainly not. It was a highly stressful week, made more so by a vendor who wanted to change a scheduled rehearsal at the last minute.

3 - I understood that the hawk and trainer would be around for photos afterward. However, the photos were taken IMMEDIATELY after the ceremony, and I was not permitted to make my exit from the ceremony until after those photos. My entire bridal party had to stand there while my husband and I had photos. The trainer then disappeared, so I was unable to get additional posed photos with any guests or with the best man who had caught the hawk. This was a sore disappointment and not at all what I had understood when the contract was presented. Considering how costly this service is, I don't think that would have been too much to ask.

This is a very unique service, and one I would definitely have again as it did thrill the guests and provide something unique to the wedding. However, in retrospect I do not feel that I got appropriate value for the money I paid. If I were to do this again, I would certainly have wanted to have more clear communication with the vendor regarding when additional photos would be taken and whom with, and asked for the vendor to communicate with a specifically assigned person to prevent guests from entering once it was in motion.

Daniel Vitilio provided a dove release at our wedding which was traditional and beautiful - the big surprise to all of our guests was the Harris Hawk we had deliver the rings to the best man. The hawk flew down the center aisle of our ceremony and delivered the rings. It was a HUGE hit!! People were still talking about it a week later. Dan was very flexible with us because we had to get together with the bridal party for "Hawk practice" - he was a total professional and very patient with all of us amateur bird handlers. It really was a unique experience and our guests were WOWED by it!

This company and the owner are TERRIFIC. A little expensive, but worth the money. The owner comes, and not only releases the doves, but comes early, and helps you with questions or whatever you or anyone else needs before the ceremony. Very nice, and very pleased!! Highly recommendable!!!

I had a fairly low budget wedding and doves seemed like something I just shouldn't spend my money on but it was one of the most unique and beautiful things about my wedding. The owner was so great! He showed the doves off to my bridesmaid, flower girl and myself while we were waiting before the ceremony and it was so neat to pet them and watch the kids pet them, plus he was very helpful with my dress and anything else I needed. He also found my photographer ahead of time and coordinated the pictures of the release. It was just so amazing and my guests loved to watch them fly off! He was super easy to work with ahead of time too. To anyone debating on having a dove release, I would say just do it, you won't regret it!
