Purchased both my engagement ring and wedding band here. Was very happy with service at both times. Would buy from again.

My husband and I got our wedding bands from Whitehall. We found that they had a great selection of men's bands that were not as typical as some places, and I found the perfect band as well. They will give you a discount on your purchase... just be sure you ask about it.

I had a really great experience and a really horrible one as well.

In Oak Brook the woman that we dealt with was very nice. My husband bought my e-ring from there. Everything was perfect about the ring until months later.
I went in to have it cleaned and the woman there was not very nice to me at all. When she was done cleaning my ring, (he paid for the every 3 months of service package) I left. I continued on shoppping and I looked down and noticed a huge black spot on my pave ring. I called my husband and told him what happened. I decided to call the store and tell them. The woman who picked up the phone was the same woman who cleaned my ring. When I told her the story the first words out of her mouth were, " I didn't do it and its not my falut". I never even blamed her and it never was a thought in my mind. I just wanted to know what to do. I hung up on her and the next day I went back to the store in Oak Brook. This time I dealt with the woman who sold me my ring. She was very nice and she took care of everything. She sent it away to get fixed and it took forever to get it back! At least it fealt like it!!

A few more months after I got the ring back I noticed that two more diamonds fell out in different places. Now mind you I am only a teacher, it's not like I work with heavy machinery! I am now mad becuase I can't have this happening forever, and it was 2 months before the wedding at this point and all I really wanted was a new ring. I bring it back and they fix it again, however, now I notived there was a black shadow on where the replaced the diamond. At first I thought I was going crazy but more and more of my friends noticed it too. I went back to the store and the woman who sold me the ring said there was nothing there, but I knew that there was. ( in all of my wedding pictures you can see it!)_

Fast forward 6 months after the wedding. I now have been staring at this ring that i love but lothe at the same time. My husband and I went to the Whitehall in Woodfield Mall and I have my ring cleaned and I was telling this one nice woman my entire story and she even noticed the black spot!! And she asked me if I had it sized, which I did. She told me they should have ORDERED me a ring in MY SIZE and not just resized the original. She told me that it would continued to happen because they streached out the pave setting or what not.

My husband was mad at this point and we decided to trade my ring in.

Long story short, I DO NOT advise on going to the store in Oakbrook. Both women still work there to this day. However the people up in Woodfield were so nice and it was such a redeeming situation going back there and working with them.

Typical jewelry store. Little pushy. Also lost our record in the computer so when we tried to get it cleaned, they didn't even know we bought it there. We had to dig through all our receipts to find proof.
