I didn't want to spend thousands on wedding flowers, and my caterer (who has worked with literally hundreds of weddings) asked if I had considered Whole Foods. I hadn't - isn't that where we get our groceries? But I looked into it and am so grateful that I did.

The Whole Foods we worked with (at Charles River Plaza) had an incredibly talented floral manager (Justin), who sat down with me and patiently helped me think through what I wanted, and what cheaper substitutions might be given the season and their supplier. They were also super flexible in having me send in some photos of bouquets I loved, and made gorgeous ones for us at a fraction of the cost I was quoted by local florists. They even let me order cheap vases online to be shipped directly to their shore for my centerpieces! They were great in letting us mix and match the flowers and services (e.g., we had them deliver the centerpieces, but wanted to pick up the bouquets), and everything turned out perfectly.

All in all, I loved working with a knowledgeable florist that was super helpful and accomodating. Plus, since they are a department within the larger WFM store, they don't make their money off of charging high margins on their special occasion flowers. Basically, it was like getting flowers at near wholesale prices with the artistry and service of florists. Working with Whole Foods was by far one of the easiest and best parts of my wedding planning process!

I read great reviews from other brides who had used Whole Foods for their wedding flowers, and I am so happy that we chose to use them! Weddings are expensive, and we had to pay for a lot of the event ourselves (no easy feat when my husband is a full-time law school student). We used Whole Foods for the bridal and tossing bouquets, bridesmaid bouquets, boutineers and corsages. I provided pictures for the bouquets and they had a selection of examples for boutineers/corsages that we chose from. The products were exact matches of what we were looking for- and at less than half the cost of a florist! While we chose not to use flowers for our centerpieces, I know that they would have created a stellar product. I highly recommend anyone to at least check them out for a quote- you won't be disappointed!

We ordered our wedding cake from Whole Foods, Brighton. They are open to pretty much anything you want, you're limited only by the sizes of cakes that they ordinarily make. We settled on a small two-tier cake, with a bottom layer of vanilla sponge with lemon cream filling, and a top tier of carrot cake. The staff at Whole Foods are happy to decorate it however you like, although you will pay extra for more elaborate decorations. All in all, though, this is likely to be the best value wedding cake you can get: you pay just for the price of whatever cakes you use + icing (so, ours cost approx $50 - and fed 50 guests!) We went for a simple butter cream icing in our wedding colors of pastel yellow and cream. It looked great and tasted delicious! The only issue we had was that the cake was slightly damaged by the makeshift box (they didn't have a box large enough for the cake we bought - which was actually our fault as we picked it up a day early) - this didn't really bother us and was easily fixed at the venue, but were I to buy a large cake from them again, I would buy a big cake box to bring with me.

We used Whole Foods River Street for our wedding flowers. One of the best decisions ever. For a pretty fancy and formal wedding, our total bill was just over $1000, including all the bouquets, corsages and boutineers and centerpiece flowers.

After our initial consult I sent the AMAZING florist there a bunch of pictures of what I wanted for the bouquets and she created the most stunning bouquets I have ever ever seen. I was obsessed with my bouquet it was so amazing. The bridesmaids were just as fantastic. She went back to the flower market twice in the week running up just to find the fuchsia freesias I had asked for. Amazing service and attention to detail. For the tables, she ordered and had delivered bulk flowers for me as we did all the table decorations and centerpieces ourselves. It was awesome and I couldn't have been happier with the price, the service or the actual outcome!

I think our first meeting was like 6 weeks before the event and everything was relaxed and happy, though of course a little less formal because I was working around her hours at the store. I was a little worried that we weren't going with a traditional florist, but everything was perfect in the end. A great great experience!

John at the Newton, MA store is WONDERFUL to work with - I brought pictures of the types of bouquets & tables arrangements I liked, and he prepared a gorgeous assortment of flowers! And, the cost is a fraction of expensive florists... if you know what you want, this is a great way to save on your wedding costs!

Marla Porazzo from the Woburn store is fabulous. She was very attentive to detail and provided us with a great deal! We were able to get my bridal bouquet, four bridesmaid's bouquets, 2 nosegay bouquets (for moms), 1 corsage, and six butonnieres for under $300. The flowers were gorgeous. My married bridesmaids were angry that they paid so much for their own wedding flowers when they learned the cost.

Beautiful and very cost effective. We were extremely pleased with the quality, selection, and arrangements. We received so many complements on the flowers and for the money I would recommend using Whole Foods to anyone! Excellent, economical, and beautiful all rolled up in one.

I would recommend whole foods to any couple who is looking to save money on flowers. The flowers are gorgeous and fresh and the value is awesome. Mei Ching in the Boston Charles River Plaza location has a great eye for design and can replicate any design you bring to her. I HIGHLY recommend her!
