The Winter Park Farmer's Market is a great venue. The venue provides a small kitchen, round and rectangular tables and chairs. The only reason why I didn't give a full 5 stars for flexibility is the fact that you have to book months in advance. I booked the venue less than 15 months before my wedding and only had a few dates to choose from. Plus, the venue won't be open until 4 pm the day of for set-up purposes. Other than those negatives, the venue was beautiful and provided more than enough space for my wedding ceremony and reception.

The folks over at City of Winter Park are absolute GEMS. They were so sweet and helpful over the phone with the (many) questions I had for them regarding the venue throughout the year I had them booked. As for the venue itself, it's just gorgeous. The hanging light bulbs look incredible in photos and it lends itself to really any theming and color scheme you choose for your event. Our day was so special and beautiful and the venue fit our needs perfectly!

We could not have been happier having our wedding reception at the Farmer's Market. It is such a gorgeous venue - not much need for any decorations, it is beautiful all on its own! It was more than enough room for my 100 guests and even had a large dance floor. Everyone of my guests commented on how gorgeous the venue was! I highly recommend using this for a reception or ceremony. We did a sparkler exit, but was told that evening it was not allowed by one of the winter park employees - we were told previously it was not a problem. So if you do plan to do sparklers be sure to check on it beforehand. We still did the exit and haven't had any issues though!

We absolutely loved having our reception at the Farmer's Market. The venue was fantastic for our shabby-chic/vintage wedding. It's on the smaller side - we had 12 tables and had to break down 2 of them when the dancing started. It's also booked so far out, so if this is your dream location, make sure you reserve it way ahead of time.

TIP- If you're getting married on a Friday, the original contract starts at 4pm. I was able to purchase 2 extra hours so my vendors could get on site at 2pm to have everything set up for my 5pm cocktail hour.

Great venue - unique and rustic. It fit our 100 guests perfectly. One problem is that they are very strict about decor... No burlap being one of their nonnegotiables, followed by strict candle rules. It's also tough to get in here to set up for a Saturday wedding, since the farmers market isn't over until 1 or 2, so by the time those vendors get out your wedding vendors can't get in until at least 4pm. This did cause our 6pm reception to start late.

Hard to get in here, they are booked about 14-18 months out!

The Winter Park Farmers Market was a perfect venue for our wedding. It fit our taste and was just the right size for 90 people. They have some strict rules regarding décor on the patio, which posed a challenge. Also, the venue person left for a brief time during the reception. He locked the door to the office, where the controls for the lights were, which delayed the start of the dancing. But, all in all, the farmers market was a great venue for the price.

This venue is very cute and relatively inexpensive as far as a ceremony/reception space that includes tables and chairs go. It lends itself quite well to a rustic/vintage aesthetic wedding and is surrounded by beautiful gardens perfect for outdoor photo-ops. Its policies, however, leave something to be desired. Its owned by the City of Winter Park, and they adhere closely to city laws and regulations. That's all well and good, but some of these rules were not stated in the original contract I had signed and I was, therefore, not prepared for them. One month before the wedding, I asked for a balance so I could pay them off, and I got the identical paperwork I had received a year earlier, only this time it had a big red stamp on it saying, "NO BURLAP!" I had planned on using burlap in a lot of my decor and had purchased it already. When I called about it, they just said that it was a Fire Marshal rule and I had to either get fire treated burlap or have mine treated to their standards. As I had already purchased the burlap, the fire marshal said I had to get it treated by a certified 3rd party (Stanley Steamer) to the tune of $200. I went ahead and did all of this and confirmed with the fire marshal that all I needed to bring with me was the letter that verified I had had it all treated to the venue. When my planner arrived with the burlap, the venue manager decided, after seeing my letter of verification, that he wanted to play fire inspector for the day and took it upon himself to cut a piece of my burlap off, light it on fire, and when it burned, he tried to tell my planner that we could not bring it into the building. Thankfully she didn't take that as an answer and set him straight on the science of fire retardant fabrics and city laws. This was just one inconvenience of this venue. Some other well known ones are that you can not get into the building until 4pm to set up (no early set up allowed the morning of, or day before) and you must be completely out 12pm.

I loved this venue because of the rustic feel. It was a great value and was easy to book. However, they are very strict on times (they charge extra if you go over) and they are strict on decorations.

I adored working with the office staff. They answered any questions that I had and always responded in a timely manner. I was aware of all of the rules and regulations before hand. However, I rated the venue so low because the on-site "staff" was so awful. I was told by some family members that he spoke rudely to them. He also tried to end our reception by 10 pm when my planners, my DJ, and my caterer all had an end time of 11 pm. I was pulled aside and was lied to my face that my planners told him 10 pm end time, when I know they would never forget that we always discussed an 11 pm end time. I knew all vendors had to be out by midnight, that's why I hired the best in the industry to work my event. Every other vendor, besides the Farmers Market staff, was on their A-game on-site. I was so thrilled with how professional the office staff was, but I was ten times more disgusted with the on-site "staff".
