Hi everyone! I just want to wish you a very happy thanksgiving! Joe and I are visiting my family and friends in the SF Bay Area for the holidays, and will be taking a short two-day holiday break from blogging. I’ll be back on Monday to unveil next week’s real wedding of the week!

Photographer Jen Huang sent me images of a gorgeous lakeside wedding that she shot in the charming Connecticut countryside. I absolutely adore the homey feel of this wedding! It just shows that it is very possible to have a fabulous wedding on a budget by infusing small DIY details, splashes of color, and amazing photography! I absolutely love today’s real wedding, featuring the gorgeous bride Terri and her husband Ryan. Terri used Project Wedding to plan her wedding and the results are the perfect modern city wedding meets asian inspiration.

I am an ever growing fan of Punam Bean Photography. Punam sent me Christina and Mike’s gorgeous wedding photographs and I was instantly struck by the beauty and artistic quality of her images. I love seeing the real weddings of Project Wedding brides. That’s why I was thrilled when Megan sent me images of her colorful beach wedding in Malibu. I love all the bright colors and personal details she incorporated to really make it a fun party that all her guests would enjoy. Today’s real wedding is a black tie affair in New York City on the upper east side. The couple, Amy and Chris, decided on a traditional and timeless style and decor. My husband Joe is a Texan and after having spent a lot of time there, I can definitely say that everything is bigger and better in Texas! That’s why I am so excited about today’s real wedding. The black and white color scheme is absolutely classic and chic, and I love how they infused so many damask textures in their cake, event decor, and lighting scheme.
