For this week’s wedding of the week, I decided it would be best to start the new year featuring the gorgeous bride Ashley, who is very much loved in the Project Wedding community as kohler44. Congratulations Ashley and Chris, and thank you so much for being such an inspiration and a supportive friend to anyone who loves weddings! Heather, the beaming bride of today’s real wedding, so graciously shared the images of her wedding to be featured in our real weddings gallery! The wedding took place on a rain day in Worcester, Massachusetts. There is just something so calm and beautiful about this city wedding that is steeped in tradition, with the bride and groom saying their vows in their neighborhood surrounded by the love of their family and friends.

Christmas is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than to feature a inspired red wedding as our real wedding of the week! Leslie and Nathan’s wedding took place in beautiful Napa Valley with gorgeous red and gold details that celebrated the bride’s chinese heritage. The shoes, bridesmaids dresses, table decor, and lush floral arrangements pulled the striking red details together to make the wedding cohesive and absolutely breathtaking.

When Robert Sukrachand submitted Yuli+Keith’s wedding to real weddings over a month ago, I was absolutely floored by the beauty and simplicity of the images. The holidays are upon us, and what better way to celebrate than an inspired red and brown wedding to put us in a festive mood?

Aaron and Sarah were married in an outdoor ceremony in Temecula, California. Their wedding was a perfect “marriage” of whimsical and traditional with an edge. I just love the coloring of the clouds overhead, which makes for dramatic and picturesque landscape that perfectly matches the dramatic beauty of the wedding itself. Congratulations Aaron and Sarah on your marriage, and thanks for sharing your real wedding with us! Marisa planned her wedding with Project Wedding, and the result was an amazing modern blue wedding in Laguna Beach. I just love all the blue details from Marisa and Dan’s wedding…

Today’s real wedding features the organic beauty of nature in a unique setting.  Laura and Scott exchanged their vows under a bamboo chuppah at Manka’s Boathouse, nestled along the idyllic Point Reyes peninsula.  The evening started at the boathouse where vows were exchanged under a bamboo chuppah .  Gourmet hors d’oeuvres inlcuding oysters by local purveyor Hog Island Oysters and cocktails followed until a trolley car shuttled guests up to the lodge for a 5 course dinner paired with local sustainable and organic wines.  Custom silk dupioni tables runners were added to the long table garland and candle lit ambiance.  When dusk turned to a moonlit night the only sound was laughter, music and dancing.
