Real Wedding-Laura + Scott
Posted on December 9th, 2008 by Margaret. Filed under Real Weddings.
Today’s real wedding features the organic beauty of nature in a unique setting. Laura and Scott exchanged their vows under a bamboo chuppah at Manka’s Boathouse, nestled along the idyllic Point Reyes peninsula. The evening started at the boathouse where vows were exchanged under a bamboo chuppah . Gourmet hors d’oeuvres inlcuding oysters by local purveyor Hog Island Oysters and cocktails followed until a trolley car shuttled guests up to the lodge for a 5 course dinner paired with local sustainable and organic wines. Custom silk dupioni tables runners were added to the long table garland and candle lit ambiance. When dusk turned to a moonlit night the only sound was laughter, music and dancing.

Hog Island Oysters! I love that place and I’m not even a huge fan of oysters.
The one I used to go to (not sure if there’s more than one) is right in the ferry building in SF, a few blocks north of where I lived.
Combining oysters and weddings - nice!
