Today’s the last day of August, so I thought it would be befitting to feature a gorgeous beach wedding. These images definitely a great distraction for a quiet Monday morning…

I have seen many posts from DIY brides attempting to make their own wedding signs. If you aren’t crafty in that area – let Family Attic come to your  rescue.  All of these vintage-inspired, homemade wedding signs are under $40 … not bad for a Friday find, right!?

Green just makes me happy! Here is what caught my eye today - these darling matchbook favors from Offbeat Bride. Other than yummy edible favors, this is something I am sure no one would mind bringing home from your nuptials!

Browsing through kirtsy, I found this amazing tutorial on Luxirare about how to make pie lollipops - which I think would be another wedding winner as an edible favor. I had to share this with any talented and inspired baking brides or brides-to-be!

I think that black and white is really one of the most classic and elegant options for a wedding. Today I’m putting my own spin on that tradition by exchanging the white for a warm cream or ecru color.

Maybe it’s the similarity of the colors to sepia photographs, the feather and rhinestone accents, or the vintage 1930’s style of the dress, but I find this palette very romantic and sophisticated in a charmingly old-fashioned way.

The domestic goddess Martha Stewart is responsible for the lovely black and cream tables and the anemone bouquet in the bottom right corner.

The white with black peep-toe shoes are by Marc Jacobs.

The adorable sepia toned wedding photos are by Red Photo Co., but I saw them on one of my favorite blogs, Snippet & Ink.

The photo of the smooching couple in the bottom left is by Myrtle & Marjoram.

The ruffled chiffon dress (that I love) is Notte by Marchesa.

The cream and black wedding cake in the top right corner was made by Take the Cake, but I saw it on Hip Hostess.

Amethyst is my birthstone, and in the last couple of years I have become mildly obsessed with the green variety. If you’re crafty, you could make your own custom wedding jewelry for yourself and your bridesmaids!

I love, love, love this Moroccan-themed display from Sunday Suppers! How breathtaking is this color palette for a bridal shower or unforgettable wedding? According to famed wedding planner Mindy Weiss, this color combo has been a big trend in many of the weddings she has worked on recently.

The inspire company never ceases to amaze me! These adorable tins make the sweetest gift boxes ever. I think the idea of finding a favorite photo of you and one of your BFFs and putting together a little goodie tin is so touching. I know it might bring a tear to my eye if I received one (hint, hint)!

Move over cupcakes! Could dogs in wedding photos be the newest nuptial trend? I have a soft spot for man’s best friend and weddings, obviously, so I am very happy about this inspired idea!
