* Here Comes the Sun

When life gives you lemons, you can make lemonade or buy some shiny, happy sunflowers!

The sunflower inspired team from Snippet & Ink put this inspiration board together for us. We heart the simple sunflower bouquets, placecard holders and table settings.

* Easy, Breezy …

Beautiful!  Event planners Details Details put together this stunning outdoor affair, which was all about the beach and aqua as the color inspiration. Among the sweet elements; starfish napkin treatments, guests all received custom note cards as favors, there was a surprise mini wedding cake for the groom’s son (who loves chocolate!). Other highlights: the champagne ice bar, the sushi station and shell chandeliers!

* Seeing Red!

Posted on August 12th, 2009 by Jeannie. Filed under Color Palettes.

The inspired team from Details Details wedding and event planning brought this bride’s big day to life in a dramatic way! Her big request — that her wedding reflect lots of red, a lucky Chinese hue. Details Details combined red with fuschia for an extra burst of color. The wedding was held at The Montage Hotel in Laguna Beach.

The wedding had many personal touches.  For the fall they used apples and beautiful fall leaves to decorate the venue.  Colors were green, red, yellow and orange.  The coordination and catering were done by Villa del Sol d’Oro.

Sarah from Fino Photography writes…

The reception venue Villa del Sol d’Oro was spectacular!   It was built in “pure” Italian Renaissance style in 1922 by the famous Pasadena architect Wallace Neff.  The Villa has been used as a location for filming commercials and shooting photo layouts for Vogue and various catalogs. Hollywood movies such as the Princess Diaries, Mommy Dearest, Ed Wood, Legally Blonde, and A Walk in the Clouds were filmed here, as were episodes of the television dramas Bones, CSI:Miami and Cane.

Sarah Brown over at Fino Photography sent me the most AMAZING wedding EVER. Held at Villa del Sol d’Oro, the couple Khathi and Boris used beautiful fall colors and themes to decorate the venue in classic Italian Renaissance style…
