Betsywhite’s amazing Flights of Fancy blog has done it again, capturing the perfect,  farmhouse-style wedding! Their inspiration has now become mine and I had to share. Happy Thanksgiving weekend all!

Our favorite bridal “newcomer” this year is Los Angeles-based design duo Alix & Kelly.  At this October’s bridal market, we admired the simplicity and sophistication of their collection.  We found the dresses to be a lovely blend of well tailored construction and tranquil fabrics. Both Alix and Kelly are experts at their craft, having spent over a decade each as costume designers for major films and television shows.  We think their transition to the bridal industry is seamless.  Here are some favorites from the fresh, yet timeless 2010 bridal and bridesmaid collections:

This just in: We just posted this DIY project, Nautical Centerpieces, in our Guide section. Besides the eye-catching color combination, I think the idea of colored flags instead of table numbers is fabulous!

Sweet little blue accents and lush, blue hued fabrics have made their way into the 2010 bridal collections.  We love this concept for destination weddings, outdoor weddings, or lavish affairs with a blue motif.
