Anne Sage on Vintage Romance: Part One
Posted on January 19th, 2010 by Kate. Filed under Color Palettes, Wedding Inspiration.
One Lovely Day is delighted to have Anne Sage of The City Sage share gorgeous wedding decor inspiration and a creative approach to Vintage Romance in a three part series.
Brides will always look to the past for inspiration and ideas. After all, weddings are a celebration of our heritage and history – a point at which the past meets the future. When planning the theme and details of your wedding, consider not only family traditions but also the history of your location or a particular decade that fascinates you. For 2010, there are three untapped eras that yield three different takes on that catchall wedding phrase, Vintage Romance!
Victorian Drama:
Inject the glamour and opulence of the 1870’s into an luxe winter affair. Draw upon textures like richly veined marble, delicate handmade lace, and tarnished gold, then waltz the night away amongst Gilded Age architecture. Required viewing: the recently released Sherlock Holmes
Row One 1. Cote Maison 2. New Zealand Home and Garden 3. Jessica Claire via Green Wedding Shoes 4. Sarah Maingot
Stay tuned for parts two and three…
