Brides will always look to the past for inspiration and ideas. After all, weddings are a celebration of our heritage and history – a point at which the past meets the future. For the crafty-hearted gals, the fantastic Wedding Chicks unveiled these Will You be My Bridesmaid DIY cards, along with a step-by-step on how to bring the clever creations to life. What would be even more fun would be to take your BFF’s to lunch and give them these, each with a unique pattern!

Whether they adorn the entire skirt or simply add flounce to a neckline, ruffles add a hint of glam and romance like nothing else.  Because a ruffle is simply an addition or gather of fabric, there is an elegant continuity in the way it embellishes a bridal gown…  With ruffles making a huge comeback this season, sigh, it must be love!

I learned something new yesterday. That once upon a time, champagne and cake was the usual fare for wedding receptions. No filet mignon, chicken marsala or appetizers galore! Being the insane dog lover that I am, I wanted to find a way to incorporate my furbaby into our wedding. Buster (my mini Aussie) doesn’t know it yet, but he will be doing a pose very similar to this one for our save-the-dates! These fabulous thank you cards from Weddingbee’s own Mrs. Cowboy Boot only cost $85. Bravo!

I have always loved beach weddings, but am slowly but becoming an even bigger fan of barnyard/farmhouse/woodsy weddings.

The always clever Rock ‘n Roll bride posted shots from this wedding-inspired photo shoot in the woods, and I love every last detail! How amazing would this be? Simple lighting and candles everywhere! The lantern- adorned tree trunks are the perfect touch.
