A DIY Engagement Ring
Posted on February 1st, 2010 by Jeannie. Filed under Do It Yourself, Rings.
I always say when it comes to weddings — think outside of the box and create your own rules. I think this hand-carved wooden engagement ring from Oh, Hello Friend is the sweetest, coolest idea ever!

What a neat idea! Definitely takes a creative bride and groom to pull this one off!

My good friend had access to a machine shop and he machined a ring from a thick piece of aluminum. He spent a lot of time smoothing the edges and polishing the ring and it looked really nice at the end. It wasn’t technically an engagement ring but it was close. Very cool.

The tool business is becoming more and more difficult. I agree with your blog and think this is information that should be shared. I’m going to share your information from A DIY Engagement Ring - Project Wedding Blog with people at my job. Thank you for posting this. Nice website layout btw.

It is a very cool idea, unfortunately it will rot and disipate eventually. Instead opt for something conflict free that will last forever, I did. A gemstone engagement ring that will last forever from Carats & Colors, http://www.caratsandcolors.com. I get oohs and aahs everyday from my custom made ring! LOVE IT!

A Spanish artist makes rings and alliances amazingly bent wood. His website is anillosjerez.com.
