* DIY: Fun Fabric Invites
Posted on April 30th, 2010 by Jeannie. Filed under Do It Yourself.
One of our very own Project Wedding staffers, Paul, created these outstanding DIY wedding invitations. He and his fiancee spent hours sewing the fabric envelopes, creating labels and pulling these unique invites together. The total cost: $1.60 per invitation! I am sure if you are interested, I could get the step-by-step from him so let me know!

* Claire Pettibone: Tea for Two
Posted on April 28th, 2010 by Kate. Filed under Wedding Dress.
“I often wish I could step back to a more simple time, or at least one that doesn’t move quite as fast! I find that time is the ultimate luxury… so precious, and indulgent when we can regain a sense of calm and peace. This collection explores the pure, gentle quality and simple joy of two people in love….. A touch of English refinement… a rambling garden, a soothing cup of tea, and an heirloom wedding dress… what could be more lovely?” Claire Pettibone

* Eco-Conscious Wedding in Oregon - Part II!
Posted on April 22nd, 2010 by Jeannie. Filed under Photography, Real Weddings.
We’ve got more from Allison and Ryan’s Oregon Coast wedding -a fitting post for Earth Day! It was very important to the couple to maintain their eco-friendly nature, so Camp Westwind was the perfect spot. The camp itself is a wilderness education spot, and completely conserves it’s natural ecosystem. This means they do not allow many cars at all on their site. In fact, the wedding guests had to pile into two cars to get there. Most guests had to park outside of the camp and actually cross the river in a barge. Now that’s some serious love for the planet!

* An Oregon Coast Wedding
Posted on April 21st, 2010 by Jeannie. Filed under Photography, Real Weddings.
There isn’t much I don’t admire about this wedding, held at Camp Westwind in northwest Oregon. Brilliant photographer Kat Speyer of Persimmon Images kindly sent over some amazing photos of Allison ( a.k.a as Mrs. Bear Cub on Weddingbee!) and Ryan’s special day - I love the natural flower arrangements, the bride’s sweet shrug, the setting, the pears, the wedding topper … basically everything!
Some details about the wedding:
The color palette was inspired by fields of French lavender and poppies - warm colors that work well for a Fall wedding. The bride’s father made the tree stump cake stand, while the bride herself baked the wedding cake (with a little help from mom!). The couple wrote their own ceremony, and asked Ryan’s grandmother to officiate. The whole wedding was a three day affair, with guests enjoying the gorgeous campgrounds and relaxing a bit before the grand finale! Allison’s dress was by Monique Lhuillier.
