Reem Acra’s gowns are breathtaking to say the least. We visited her Sunday evening and were in awe by each dress that was shown. What’s new this time out? Corseted looks and a lingerie vibe - incredibly savvy and sexy. Acra is also playing with three dimensional appearing appliques, as seen below:

* Sultry, Exquisite and Sweet: Douglas Hannant

Posted on April 11th, 2010 by Kate. Filed under Bridesmaids, Wedding Dress.

Our favorite looks from the Douglas Hannant Spring 2011 bridal collection featured porcelain blue embroidery, a sultry mermaid silhouette, an exquisite blue patterned chiffon overskirt, and several sweet empire waistlines.  Here’s a peek, but there’s lots more to gush about.  The models’ wavy locks were upswept in twigs and flowers…which really were works of art all on their own.  So far, this was one of the most stellar shows of the weekend!  We heart Hannant! Enjoy!

The first day of NY wedding market has been stylish and successful, and the Amsale Spring Collection 2011 was no exception. We saw lots of beaded belts, beautiful ballgowns and some modern little white dresses:

Amsale’s goal this time out was to bring more softness to her collection. “My gowns are known for being clean, modern and architectural, so my focus this season was staying true to that aesthetic while bringing a softer, lighter feel to my designs.”
