* Fuschia and Navy Color Inspiration

Posted on May 28th, 2010 by Jeannie. Filed under Color Palettes.

Looking for something beyond pale or neutral colors for your event? Then think outside the box and don’t be afraid to consider bright or bold colors. The trick is to balance them with the right hues!

The flowers were chosen first – peonies – and the rest of the decor  was planned around their deep fuschia color. To temper such a bold tone, they was paired with classic navy blue and lots of white serving pieces.

If you’re creating a buffet or hors d’oeuvres table, like was done here, consider coordinating your food and drink to your scheme for a unified look. We found beverages with labels that worked perfectly for the table, and tying bits of navy blue ribbon around toothpicks were an easy, inexpensive garnish for the food.
