We just posted these two fabulous DIY projects on the site - which are kinda perfect for this time of year! I love the uniqueness about sweet pickle favors, and the treat box for out-of-towners is a great way to welcome them and also share a little local culinary experience. What would you add to an out-of-town box in your area? For me, it would have to be Sprinkles cupcakes, Valencia oranges and maybe a nice bottle of wine from Santa Barbara…

I love sweet pickles - green tomato relish is always good if the weater plays up and elaves you with unripe toms.
Here I would add an Italian phrase book, homemade limoncello, an Amalfi paper note book and a little bag of sundried tomatoes or ceps.
