* Royally Inspired
Posted on April 29th, 2011 by Jeannie. Filed under Wedding Cakes.
In honor of Kate and William, one of my favorite people in the world, Amanda at i am baker, created this lovely cake - as an ode to all of you princesses out there. She combined elements from her hydrangea cake and rose cake for this look, and I absolutely love it!
* Sweet Backyard Celebration
Posted on April 29th, 2011 by Kate. Filed under Real Weddings.
Adrienne and Todd decided to host their wedding in their very own back yard. It was a day filled with family, rustic florals, and tender moments. The team over at Bloomsters hung vases of bright florals above the ceremony site, creating a memorable setting.
Guests enjoyed fresh, homemade desserts, and took home personalized carabiners as mementos of the day. Thanks to Custom Celebrations and Francis Baker Photography for sending this over!

Posted on April 27th, 2011 by Kate. Filed under Photography.
I couldn’t resist. Persimmons are my absolute favorite fruit… so when I received Hannah + Daniel’s day after session in my inbox, of course I had to share. Not to mention… Priscila Valentina’s photography is both fresh and intensely dynamic… total and utter eye candy. Congratulations to the gorgeous couple! Enjoy the pics ♥

* Douglas Hannant Spring 2012

Since his emergence in the bridal world, Douglas Hannant’s collection is always one of the most anticipated of the season.. so we were thrilled to see what he has in store for 2012! In the past he’s played with both super-contemporary looks and romantic styles, but this season it was all about the sophisticated bride. These are a few of our favorites:

* Anna + Ryan in South Australia

This wedding looks like such a dream… Ryan and Anna married along the banks of a river in Waikerie, South Australia. It was a fancy free sort of day.. I’m just lovin’ the look of their handsome wedding party. Many thanks to the super talented, Ryan Polei, for sending this over!

Not florally inclined? Almost anyone can put together a gorgeous table with fruit centerpieces - all you need is plenty of it and a little guidance :). Luckily, people like Chelsea Fuss, Mary Swenson and Jordan Ferney are around to give us some brilliant ideas. Here are some favorite tables of mine…

* Green Friday
Posted on April 22nd, 2011 by Jeannie. Filed under Things we heart.
I love that so many are celebrating our great earth this week. Eco-friendly weddings are such an important part of the picture - and many on Etsy recognize this. Here are some ways to incorporate this trend into your day:
These plantable, handmade butterflies are amazing - they could be escort cards or favors, and come in various shapes and colors. Just wait until they bloom - they are gorgeous!
Repurposed, vintage teacup bracelets - a perfect shade of blue for the big day.
Such a cute favor idea - seed bombs!
Vintage forks as place card holders…so creative!
