Creative Calligraphies
Posted on July 10th, 2012 by Kate. Filed under Wedding Invitations.
I’m calligraphy-obsessed…and for good reason. Although it’s an ancient art, it is certainly not what it used to be. With so much unique and creative typography, you can pretty much tell from the script whether an event is of the modern elegance persuasion or more of a trendy sophisticated style. In other words, the look of the written word says a lot. Arguably, creative calligraphy is both the perfect introduction and finishing touch to a stylish event. Feast your eyes… here are a few pretty finds from some of the top calligraphers around.
no. 1 Calligraphed Glassine Favor Bags by A Fabulous Fete
With these stylish little bags, something as simple as a popcorn snack looks very, very chic.
no. 2 Modern Rainbow Name Tags by Sparrow Nest Script
How fun would these be for a wedding weekend of connecting new faces?!
no. 3 White on Color Calligraphy by Perch Paper Company
Love the stand-out white on bold color, and of course the artistic script by Perch Paper.
no. 4 Watercolor Frames by Paperfinger

The watercolor frames and angled lines create such an organic feel… And don’t forget what a great idea it is to have your vows scripted too!
no. 5 Split Fountain Suite by Paperfinger
And because Paperfinger’s got so much gorgeous work, I thought I’d share a peek of their new collection too!
no. 6 Fancy Chalkboard Seating Chart by Meant to Be Calligraphy
{Photo by Holland Photo Arts}
This exquisite lettering by Meant to Be Calligraphy brings chalkboard décor to a whole new level.
no. 7 San Francisco Style by Calligraphy by Hillary
Wavy and curved lines make this envelope script extra special pretty!
